I think the winner of that race is this kid all grown up. Pulled the old bike out of the shed, added a dirt track Harley engine, found a helmet and some football shoulder pads on craigslist, and went racing!

Pretty good, the winner started way in the back of the pack. Interesting rider, fairly upright most of the time.

I think the guy in the back was on the only one that completely belonged in the track. The 2 sport bikes sure did not and the other 2 were super motard like bikes ...but the skill is evident

the guy at the back is on a purpose built oval race bike, they race and bet on them like race horses, the bike even has tires with treads set to the correct angle, the engine is also specialised 600cc, lightweight, no brakes etc A race for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-gyBmAr2i0

Bike looked out of place as did the rider! Rider looked like he was as wide as a billboard and just super relaxed even when the bike started to come out from under him a couple of times. Loved it!

I prob looked a little like that on my Schwin "Cotton Picker" back in the day. Taking that bike over jumps and thru the woods at some pretty steep trails. Before there were real mountain bikes. I enjoyed that clip. Thanks for posting.
