Went this weekend--came over the Winding Stair Mountain to Mena  from Talihena-- up 271/24/I-30 from Dallas--great color all the way from Oklahoma on--followed Dutch Creek Mountain to Hi-way 7 and then onto Harrison--took 43 SE to Boxley-the headwaters for the Buffalo river - and popped up 21 to Eureka Springs. The next 2 weeks should be good cooldude

around here in WI the fall colors are less than spectacular with too much rain and dark gloomy conditions needing dryer weather and more sun to bring out the colors not likely to happen this year since is suppose to be peak now and not many leaves left and not vivid colors at all.

Hope you get some nice pics in your area and enjoy them while they last since Oct. has been a terrible month to ride around me.  Maybe get a few days in November, but not holding my breath looking at extended forecast.  We usually get some VERY warm days still in November, but guessing not this year.

Just came back from a trip through western Arkansas.  Took Route 7 south from Missouri, to Russelville and 27 west.  Some fall colors but not what I had hoped for.  The most fun road was Missouri 160 from West Plains to US 65.  That is a really interesting road, well paved and lots of elevation changes.  We rode MO 160 in light rain but it was still a very interesting road.

I was surprised at how bad some of the rural roads were on my trip.  We did a trip through NC, TN, and VA a in late September and those roads were very nice.  Our SC roads are getting really bad.

We planned the trip in August hoping to see lots of colors but it did not work out that way for use.

I live bout 25 miles N of West Plains. The drought we had this past summer IS exacting a toll on our fall colors.  Lips Sealed I went out last Saturday and was NOT impressed at all compared to other falls I've ridden. J T and his Lovely Wife myself and MAYBE 2 other couples are rollin Saturday for another look see. The plan now is U S 60 W to Mo. 125 S and we will wing it from there. carolinarider09 next time yer in the area git on Mo. 14 W outa West Plains. There ARE lotsa GOOD roads here bouts to make motorsicklin Interesting!  cooldude Granted our initial Rt W-U S 60-IS boring. BUT we Will MORE than make up fer dat on Mo. 125!  coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.

The wife and I caged it up to Bentonville, Ar on Monday to celebrate the newest grandson's first birthday. The color on I-49 was pretty good. If we had not been in a crunch for time I would have loved to have gone up Hwy 71, from Alma to Fayetteville.
