Need input from this amazing group once again.
I noticed one of my headlights is out on my ’08 Chevy pu. I had this thing for 8 yrs and don’t remember replacing any lights so I guess it’s about time.
Being a tad over 60yrs old my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, as some here probably can relate.
I’d like to get a bit brighter low beam but not one that’ll BLAST the oncoming fellow drivers like a lot of cars have. (I’d like to get my high beams to do that to the inconsiderate a-holes, but that’s for another topic)(but since I'm asking, suggestions will be considered)
What are some options?

High beam should be a 9005 and low H11 the only way I know to get a brighter bulb for these is go LED. Look and see what is available on line .

It does appear that your low beam bulbs are H11 bulbs. If you want to stick with conventional bulbs, I used these for my wife's 4Runner, and they were definitely an improvement over stock. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U1OIESK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Obviously, different vehicle with different headlight housings, but I'd imagine you'd find them to help a bit. As Robert stated, there are other options; L.E.D. and H.I.D. The levels of quality out there is all over the place for these, and some are not even legal in many areas. Also, most of these in a housing not designed for them (proper projector type) will blind oncoming traffic due to improper light cutoff and dispersed light patterns.

I have used the Phillips above and they were a noticeable upgrade from stock for me. Using LED's in housings that were not designed for them tend to have poor results and can also be dazzling to oncoming drivers. In your case I would just go with the Phillips bulbs above.

I have an HID headlight in my Valkyrie.
I would NOT use one in my car.
Beam focus is awful.

I should think that just by changing the bulbs for new, you will get brighter lights. Halogens dim over time, and yours have had 10 years to dim. Life is a Road - Headlight Life

Life is a Road - Headlight LifeYeah, that's what I was thinking too. My lenses have not fogged over much but could need a bit of cleaning/polishing which will probably help also. Just read the "headlight life" article and got the biggest kick outta this statement... "...my friend James's tires (his wearbars wear completely off and you can actually see what color the air in his tires is before he changes them)."

I put 100w bulbs in my high beams and they do a wonderful job on high. The low beams are the regular ones for the car. You could also do this type of arrangement with the LED bulbs so when you go to high they do the job and on regular low beam all is well. I posted the link for some LEDs I found and the reason is the reviews you can read. Very informative from some who had tried them. The led since its located on the side can be indexed to adjust where the light hits on the road also. Read the reviews answered all the questions that were said here. https://www.amazon.com/OPT7-Fluxbeam-Headlight-Bulbs-Arc-Beam/dp/B00VNBDWPKOne other thing a motorcycle headlight is not the same as a automotive headlight either. The beam pattern and illumination is much different than a car that is expected to have 2 headlights, so there really is not a good comparison car to motorcycle.

I have Sylvania Silverstars in my car and truck. They are much brighter than OE types and last much longer in a car than they did a bike. The Cyclops led in my valk makes cagers really take notice in the day light, but isn't any better at night.
