To do my part of getting rid of all the crazy democrats.

Democrats take a knee outside a Republican Rally in Chattanooga, Tennessee, during the the National Anthem. They yell out "Racist song! Racist country!" at one point one protesters yells out "F*** this song!" Excuse me, but absolutely no one is stopping you all from moving out!

I'm waiting for the rain to stop.

In general I love rain, but this year not so much; it's more like an on-off Biblical event.

I just checked the weather channel, and there's a small craft advisory.... in my back yard.

I'll vote later, when there's less risk of drowning.

That's funny!

I feel your pain about the rain, we've had more than our fair share this year. Seems like all I'm doing is mowing! If I don't mow EVERY week it takes twice as long (so I'm not gaining anything if I try to wait a week)(which I tried and it didn't fair well for me!).
Unfortunately it's rained so much I couldn't get out to mow for a couple weeks then I'd have to mow in 1st gear!

1st gear!!!

It's less than a crawl!!

I hate to complain about rain as we've had a couple of years of drought, but still...

At least this time of year the grass is going dormant so it's not growing as fast.

(so we continue the drift)

My grass is not growing much anymore (but still green), but I now have the 6 100yo oaks raining leaves all over the place.

It's a huge cleanup for me (suburbia) every fall (about 17 all-day cleanups).  Fortunately, I have good equipment, and added a 600 Magnum Stihl backpack blower (and should have done that 20 years ago; man does that thing outperform anything hand-held by a country mile).

This is really the only thing left in my life that makes me work as hard as I did in the steel mills earning my way through school.

I was 20-something then, and am 65 now, and my body is complaining a lot about it.  I try not to listen.

All political advertisements should be banned on election day starting at midnight of that day.

I think a lot of the Midwest and east coast has been way over average to the ridiculous this year.  For us this makes two years in a row of every month recording at least 4 inches except last December.  The plus side is grass has been continuously green.  The bad is these 3 day events of which we have had numerous this year where it continually mists and only .05 inches accumulates and just blows up quite a few ride events.  Make sure you vote.

I agree.  BUT, main stream media has been prohibited from reporting exit polls on election days for a long time (until voting in each state is over for the day), and for good reason.  They tend to fan the liberal flames.  And too many people want to vote for a winner (and not their convictions), as hard as that is to believe.

Everything that applies to citizens should not necessarily apply to professional media and press (especially since they long ago abandoned any pretense of their biased partisanship.)

Citizens United was a good SCOTUS decision though.  The NRA can still tell people who hates guns weeks before any election.

I don't see a prohibition of the reporting of exit polling till the polls close as an abridgement of Free Speech. It goes directly to the integrity of the electoral process. It (the law in question) isn't designed to abridge political thought or speech. Banning of Political advertisements by candidates at anytime does. Does so directly. That is my point.

Looks like D's will take control of the House.

R's will keep the Senate.

Not happy about losing the House, but it's the way our framers wanted it. Balance of power. Those guys were pretty smart fellas so I'll take the loss with a grain of salt and see what happens.

VA lost 2-3 flips to D.   Embarrassed  And we get to keep our incumbent D senator.   Embarrassed

The senate picks up three flips to R.

Just to remind everyone, as of the 2010 Census, the largest delegation is that of California, with fifty-three representatives (39-40 blue).  Seven states have the smallest delegation possible, a single representative: Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming.

I know it's been discussed here before, but really..... we need to let CA go.

Kept the Senate, all judicial appointments will be approved. There’s only been 5 times in the last 105 years that an incumbent President has won seats in the Senate in the off year election  cooldude Agreement reached, declassification of documents will put panic all players.

https://judiciary.house.gov/press-release/goodlatte-gowdy-reach-agreement-with-the-department-of-justice/

“The Committees have reached an agreement with the Department of Justice to access the documents we have been requesting for months. We look forward to reviewing the information to better understand the decisions made by the Department of Justice in 2016 and 2017. Congress has a constitutional responsibility to preserve the integrity of our justice system by ensuring transparency and accountability of actions taken.”

We will see where the Dems go from here, either a planned supportive platform or the self destructive path they have been on.

Nancy Pelosi, who is set to become the new House Speaker, Adam Schiff taking over the House Intelligence Committee, and Elijah Cummings becoming the news Oversight Committee chair, the new chair of the House Financial Services committee will be none other than Maxine Water.   ???

According to the results I saw this morning, Warren only gathered 60% of the vote in my commie state.

To me, that means 4 out of 10 voters have their head screwed on the right way.

Overall results were disappointing. I really believed that the democrats were going down to a terrible defeat. At least the Senate is still in GOP control. That should stave off any Democrat attempts at stupidity.
Still, given the history of midterms, it was an achievement for Trump to keep the Senate in his corner.

Should be an entertaining next couple of years though. Good for ratings.
