WHAT IS ‘BALLOT HARVESTING,’ AND HOW DID CALIFORNIA DEMS USE IT TO NUKE THE GOP?
Larry Elder December 02, 2018 ’ AND HOW DID CALIFORNIA DEMS USE IT TO NUKE THE GOP? , WHAT IS ‘BALLOT HARVESTING 0 Comments

By Daily Caller, Dec. 01, 2018

As the polls closed on election day last month, six California Republican House candidates, including Representatives Dana Rohrabacher, Steve Knight, and Mimi Walters, were ahead in their respective races. However, as the absentee and provisional ballots rolled in over the intervening weeks, all six lost to their Democratic opponents.

The case of Korean-American GOP candidate Young Kim was one of the most prominent examples. On election night, Kim held an 8,000 vote lead over her Democratic opponent Gil Cisneros, and even attended freshman orientation in Washington, D.C. before watching her lead, and her victory, slowly evaporate over the subsequent weeks.

Oh yea.
McSally was way ahead till the alfrankenclaus delivered the trunk load democrat ballots.
Now, we're represented by someone who thinks Arizona is the meth lab of politics.
Don't start on the democrats favorite republican, McCain.

Each time a Democrat gets away with something, We hear "Imagine if it was a Republican who did that."

This simple statement is no more applicable than these past couple of elections.

Imagine if the person responsible for the election process in Broward and Palm Beach counties was a Republican and managed to mess things up and then all of a sudden find crates of republican votes.

Imagine if it were the Republicans who continued to count votes after the voting deadline was reached.

Imagine if it was a Republican who refuses to acknowledge the outcome of an election, including a recount, and played the race card the entire time.

Imagine if the Republicans won the popular vote and demanded the elimination of the electoral college.

Imagine if it was the Republican candidate who received the debate questions from an employee of the hosting network.

Imagine if the ex-President and the losing candidates were Republicans and continued to tour the country denouncing the current administration and bashing the current President.

Imagine if the loser of the election was a Republican and toured foreign countries with the agenda of denouncing America's current leadership.

Imagine if it was a Republican Sec'y of State and Presidential candidate who withheld 30,000 pieces of evidence that congress asked for.

Imagine if it were the Republicans who received all of the positive media coverage for doing all of the above.

Imagine if this was John Lennon's stupid song, at least it would be based on true irony.

Peace!

I never had any doubt that some Democrats were trying and in some cases succeeding in stealing some elections.

What I doubt is that anyone will ever be prosecuted or that the democrats will every stop trying to steal elections, money, property, freedom.

I have to laugh about how upset you guy's are about the Dem's. Look in your own back yard before throwing stones. Gerrymandering, making American Indians produce a street address, when the reservations don't have street address's, moving polling places so far out of town many could not get to them, cutting down the amount of polling places to make it more difficult for some to get to.

Some have no back yard - Some are not and never have been a democrat or republican.

Seems your shot misfired and missed again.

JFaje1 sounds like a lot of the misguided and misinformed college age group. They believe nearly everything the profs gladly stuff down their collective throats and come out of their collegiate endeavors with all the answers. Only problem with that is....most don't have a clue what the questions are yet, partly because so many have lost the ability to think for themselves, leaving the decision making up to the profs that spoon feed them. Some of the statements made are downright foolish.  Angry

Yup, my mistake!  cooldude  You would really get a chuckle from one of my granddaughters that graduated a couple years back from U. of Wisconsin. She definitely has her mother's...my youngest...attitude re. politics. It was refreshing to talk with her...not to her. Her younger brother is the same way, believe he's about 20-21 now. Drives their other grandparents nuts cuz they're dyed-in-the-wool democrats, makes no difference to them how bad things get, they stick to their guns. My grandson simply told them that's nuts and that grandmother about went ballistic. He just laughed and walked away.

Speaking of frenzy, that's a good description of how the left loves early/absentee ballots. There's no reason for not voting in person if you can travel, and using the US Mail if you can't travel. Absentee ballots are often not handled securely, are easy to pick up and use to vote early and often, and even stating the obvious draws rehearsed screams of, "The right is trying to block the left from voting!". Anyone and I mean anyone caught voting fraudulently with intent to create false votes or change real ones to another candidate(s) should be beaten to death on live TV. Never in our country's history have elections been so much about taking and giving away citizens' money, it's torches and pitchforks time just around the corner.

This article seems racist to me.   It seems to imply that (pick your favorite minority group) is disenfranchised because they apparently don't have the ability to following the voting rules like the (pick your favorite privileged group) does.

Negating the election results, Republican lawmakers in at least 2 states are attempting to rewrite rules for the new Democratic incomers to remove powers that existed [for Republican winners] for DECADES

provide news links to prove your thoughts.   cause one little town scandal is much more important than corruption whereas complete districts and major cities/towns vote 100% democrat. more important than a car trunk full of ballots all of a sudden found and 95% are demo votes which allow the dem to win the election. So yes I can see your concern for a small town.

If we want truly honest elections we must mandate Free picture voter ID that states whether the person is a citizen

You cant buy a money order at the post office without it
cant board a plane
cant cash a check
cant get a driver license (in most places)
cant get married
cant go to doctor or hospital in most places
cant get a library card

Dont tell me it is racist, it is H O N E S T

If you fear it you are not honest and dont care about the true vote

and for crying out loud you should have to be a citizen to vote

It's only racist to believe that people of certain colors don't have the ability or where-with-all to comply with an identification rule for doing anything, including voting.

as I understand it..in one european country that begins with an  'S'...they vote at the town square by standing in groups voting for or against whatever..everybody gets to see and verify the count which is then posted at the town square..so then anybody can drive around the country and verify the election results....

The integrity of the electoral process is what is at issue. It matters not what party is abusing the system. The integrity of the individual's vote and the process by which it is cast is the most profound bedrock of this Democratic Republic.

It cannot and should not be a simple and easy task to cast one's vote. To make it so undermines the very value of that vote.

It is a sacred right. It should be treated that way. You must meet a high standard to participate via absentee ballot. You otherwise must go to your established voting place to cast your vote. No exceptions. Or very very few.

To participate in this extraordinary right you must make an effort. That effort is required to ensure the integrity of the process.

Strict laws and rules regarding elections must be enforced and cannot be undermined by characterizing such efforts as "voter suppression" when the vote does not go your way.

@98valk: Got no idea what you are talking. I also read the article that you pointed in the first post.

The theory presented was that a new resolution passed by the governor in 2016 (more precisely in September of 2016: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billNavClient.xhtml?bill_id=201520160AB1921) somehow changed the percentage of absentee votes therefore changing the election results of 2018 bringing bad results to the GOP.

Here is the public data: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/historical-absentee/

The percentages of vote-by-mail votes for the statewide elections in the last 4 years:
a) 2012: 65.15%
b) 2014: 69.40%
c) 2016: 58.92%
d) 2018: 67.70%

It seems that this year percentage is within the range of the last 6 years (it was actually lower than in 2014).

If you truly wanna know *why* GOP did so bad in California, I can tell you but probably won't like the answer.

http://teapartyorg.ning.com/forum/topics/democrats-arrested-and-or-convicted-of-voter-fraud

Before I post the names of those arrested for voting more than once in an election, they are ALL registered Democrats:

Tina Johnson was arrested on 10 counts of fraud in connection with casting a vote, and two counts of absentee ballots and voting violations.

Johnson Jr. was charged with 11 counts of fraud in connection with casting votes, as well as corruptly influencing voting, and perjury by false written declaration.

Williams was charged with 17 counts of neglect of duty and corrupt practices for allowing the distribution of these absentee ballots.

The following Madison residents were each charged with one count of proving a false report to law enforcement as well addition charges as listed:
    •    Shalonda Michaelle Brinson, 36,  nine counts of fraud in connection with casting a vote
    •    Judy Ann Crumitie, 51, four counts of fraud in connection with casting a vote
    •    Laverne V. Haynes, 57,  two counts of fraud in connection with casting a vote, two counts of perjury by false written declaration
    •    Ora Bell Rivers, 41, seven counts of fraud in connection with casting a vote, three counts of perjury by false written declaration
    •    Raven Simona Williams, 20, two counts of fraud in connection with casting a vote, two counts of perjury by false written declaration

7 Democrats Arrested in New York for actual Voter Fraud via Absentee Ballots
Democrats arrested, charged and 4 plead guilty to actual voter fraud in New York via absentee ballots!
Democrat Anthony DeFiglio, right, pled guilty to falsifying business records for his role in a ballot fraud case in Rensselaer County Court on Tuesday Dec. 20, 2011 in Troy, N.Y. His lawyer John Turi is at left.

4 Plead Guilty while the other 3 opt for a trial. The group forged signatures on applications for absentee ballots and on the ballots themselves in a 2009 primary of the Working Families Party, which was affiliated with now-defunct community group ACORN.

Voters whose signatures were forged expressed outrage to Fox. “I feel extremely violated,” said Brian Suozzo.

In November 2009, Democratic operative Anthony DeFiglio told New York State police investigators that faking absentee ballots was a commonplace and accepted practice in political circles, all intended to swing an election.
Democrat Clement Campana, President of the Troy City Council, right, is arraigned for his role in a ballot fraud case in Rensselaer County Court while sitting with his lawyer E. Stewart Jones, Jr., left, on Tuesday Dec. 20, 2011 in Troy, N.Y.. (Philip Kamrass / Times Union )

**It should be noted that the story below has still yet, as of November 25, 2011 to be aired on NBC, MSNBC or CNN……**

To hear NBC, MSNBC and CNN put it, voter fraud is “basically unfounded” in today’s society. That those who scream voter fraud, those said people are merely looking to “discredit” Democrats, or they go so far as to call them “racists”. Remember, the whole purpose of the MEDIA is to keep the citizens informed and the politicians “honest”. Lying about the OBVIOUS is neither keeping the citizens informed nor keeping the politicians “honest”. Likewise, calling those racists whom provide factual evidence that voter fraud occurs a lot more than the media leads on, only proves why NBC, MSNBC and CNN’s ratings are in the tank.

Irony, by its very definition is that of the media “keeping politicians honest” by “reporting the truth” when said media calls those who do report the truth as being racists and liars.

Case in point: November 23, 2011 – 12 people have been charged in Georgia for voter fraud as they used absentee ballots to skew an in election in Georgia. The 12 people charged are ALL with the Democrat Party. The defendants include some workers in the voter registrar’s office and some school board members. They are Angela Bryant, April Proctor, Brenda Monds, Debra Denard, Lula Smart, Kechia Harrison, Robert Denard, Sandra Cody, Elizabeth Thomas, Linda Troutman, Latashia Head, and Nancy Denard.

The charges followed a bitter November 2010 school board election in Brooks County in which the final tally was changed by an unusually large wave of absentee ballots.

During the election, 1,060 absentee votes were cast out of the 1,403 ballots mailed out to people who requested them, according to a July 2010 report by WCTV.

That’s far higher than nearby Thomas County, which had 119 absentee votes cast out of 202 requests, and Lowndes County, which had 169 absentee votes cast out of 439 requests, said WCTV’s report.

We also need to look at the other actual voter fraud that yielded arrests, charges and convictions. Needless to say, ALL thus far have been via DEMOCRAT voters who voted MULTIPLE TIMES for Obama whereby even DNA evidence was acquired and used to convict on voter fraud so as to NOT allow the media to state that these charges and convictions were somehow “racist”.
NAACP Executive Sentence to 10 Years in Prison for Voting for Obama 10 Times in 2008

While NAACP President Benjamin Jealous lashed out at new state laws requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison, sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme.

In April 2011, a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots.

Sowers received a five-year prison term for each of the 10 counts…..

“This crime cuts against the fabric of our free society,” Judge Webster said.

Sowers was found guilty of voting in the names of Carrie Collins, Walter Howard, Sheena Shelton, Alberta Pickett, Draper Cotton and Eddie Davis.

She was also convicted of voting in the names of four dead persons: James L. Young, Dora Price, Dorothy Harris, and David Ross.

In the trial, forensic scientist Bo Scales testified that Sowers’s DNA was found on the inner seals of five envelopes containing absentee ballots.
4 Wake County, North Carolina Democrats have Admitted to Voting for Obama TWICE Each in 2008

FOUR Wake County, North Carolina, Democrats have admitted to voter fraud charges, according to local news reports.

Kierra Fontae Leache, Shelia Romona Hodges and Brandon Earl Mclean each admitted to casting two ballots in recent elections. Local reports indicate all three voted for President Barack Obama twice in 2008.

According to ABC News Channel 11 in Raleigh-Durham, authorities have placed the three on $10,000 bonds.

@98valk: I just looked at the numbers (that are public) and did an analysis of the link you first posted, just like I do with *anything* I read.

Whenever I read anything I ask: who has interests in this? Does this make any sense? What are the numbers?

The second link you posted, mentions California: "In only three counties in California’s 2016 presidential primary, there were reportedly 194 people who voted twice. Some voters were voting once by mail, then going to polls and voting again, according to the East Bay Times."

It has no external reference or any proof of the assertion. Highly suspicious.

But let's assume is true, just for the sake of logic test: 194 people times 2x =  388 votes. The amount of votes in California in last election was 11,976,962.

The 388 votes would be 3.23 * 10e(-5) or 0.0032% of the total votes (or 100x less than 1%).

Even if that was 100x more, it would still be less than 1% of the votes (more precisely, 1/3 of a 1%). And lets remind that in all places the GOP politicians lost by landslide in California.

It wouldn't explain *why* GOP did so bad.

I would say that more important than the variety of sources that you read, is the analysis you perform on the sources.

But this is a free country, anyone has the right to an opinion (preferably based in facts).

All should be registered to vote, any public service you have to register for so why is voter registration thought of as cruel? We are all documented and known from the day we are born and made to register to the government for our Existence why should anyone be free to not register to vote? If its cruel then lets take their names off the welfare roles, the public assistance, child support and food stamps, that many so happily register for.

There are so many ways to scam the system and unfortunately the dems seem to be the best at finding them.

Blue State Blues: Democrats Stole the Election in California — Legally, Through ‘Ballot Harvesting’
California Democrats “stole” the midterm election using a new method that is illegal elsewhere but completely legal in the Golden State: a practice called “ballot harvesting,” which allows third parties to submit mail-in ballots for voters.

That directly caused the switch from being ahead on election night to losing two weeks later.”

And Democrats are proud of it, mocking Republicans for failing to take advantage of a new law signed by Governor Jerry Brown in 2016, over GOP objections, that allows “ballot harvesting,” and which some Republicans are now blaming for their defeat.

In Orange County alone, where every House seat went Democratic, “the number of Election Day vote-by-mail dropoffs was unprecedented — over 250,000,” Fred Whitaker, chairman of the county Republican Party, said in a note to supporters. “This is a direct result of ballot harvesting allowed under California law for the first time. That directly caused the switch from being ahead on election night to losing two weeks later.”

Los Angeles County prosecutors busted a ring that bribed the homeless to register fraudulently. The Department of Motor Vehicles also registered 1,500 ineligible voters.

Voting should be held to Tax Paying Citizens. If you are not supporting the Government, you should not have any say in the Government. You want a say, or a vote, get a job.

Well look at the humorous side,

You cannot be arrested for being an illegal, and they can vote and not register.

but

If you pass out or have a straw in your drink you will be arrested.

In California.
