I've always wanted to stencil "The Schmidt House" on our mailbox but was overruled by a majority of 1:1.  Wink

That's the Mrs's maiden name....she had the dish towels, apron, etc with that cartoon. She would not have wanted to to stencil it on her mailbox either, however....

Grin Too funny John. I had never seen that picture until I got a Christmas Card from my best friend back in 1981. That is what was on the front of the card and the words on the inside, I kid you not! And to this day every year after 1981 - 37 years ago we resign the card, date it, send it back and forth for our Christmas card to each other. Merry Christmas  with blessings for you, Rita and family.  coolsmiley

I remember the Christmas card the guys at the little Federal prison camp on Maxwell AFB made up every year.  We had a former governor of TN and an Atlanta probate judge there when I was there.  I believe it was the easiest prison in the entire Federal system (no violent offenders, and no one with more than two years left).  Just open bays with bunks, no cells.  Most all had day jobs on grounds keeping crews.

It was run off on an old mimeograph machine, and then you had to fold it two times, to quarter page size.

On the cover was a crusty old Santa, and it said... Money's Short, and Times are Hard.

When you opened it up, Santa was giving you the finger, and it said... Here's your fu..ing Christmas Card

It never felt much like Christmas in Montgomery anyway.  In the summer, it felt like Hell though.
