I posted the idea of Ceramic coating for possibly sealing my wheels, and came across this:

I have had ceramic coating done to my RAM truck, Cherokee, Goldwing and two Valkyries.  Like most things of this type, it's all about the prep work.  I had a professional detailer do mine.  Complete clay bar treatment, paint correction, etc. and finally, treatment with Microdetailer brand ceramic.  Paint, chrome, glass, matte black plastic.  Water beads up great.  Dust does not stick to it.  I really did not appreciate how much this helps until I washed my daughter's car (has normal wax only).  More work for her Camry than my big Dodge crewcab.

He also set me up with a no rinse wash system.  Wash them in the garage without a garden hose.

I was unsure at first about parting with the cash but after a couple years I'm satisfied it was worth it.

With a full stable like that...the ceramic would save a lot of time.
I bought a new SUV back in June. I clay barred and applied polymer polish to a very smooth finish, but washing it still takes time, with towelling it down and detailing it.

Well one Valkyrie now lives in another barn but yes, riding is better than washing.  My previous Wing was gray and I could get by with some dust but the new black one, not so much.  Ceramic makes it easier.  And wife's Cherokee is also black so...……… you know.

Can't really knock something that works. My buddy had it done to his new Cummins 2500. I was impressed but wouldn't pay what dealerships charge.

Snake-Man used a Product called "ARMOR SHIELD IX"...About $75(US) but it is on backorder so I guess it is popular as a DIY product.

I would NOT give these guys money on a backorder!!
