Well that takes me back to Jr Hi Spanish, where I was confused and surprised to learn that those people assign gender to every noun in the vocabulary.

How a chair is feminine while a desk is masculine is beyond any understanding.

Although most of the time, if it ends in o it is masculine, and if it ends in a it is feminine.

I also remember that in our language lab, if you lifted up your turntable needle, and put your thumb over it, you could listen to the local rock radio station in your headphones.

However, this pissed off our Ecuadorian Spanish teacher Mr. Olmedo to no end.

Hola Isabel, como esta?     Grin

Valkyries were the female warriors of Odin.  Warrior may be a stretch but they retreived the valiant dead from the battlefields and they were always female.  There are a few misguided who choose to imagine a Valkyrie that is a male but truthfully he just wouldn't fit into the shaped armor.   Wink

The "identifies as" stupidity exists well outside the world of the Valkyries.   Smiley

Nice picture but I'm pretty sure it was discovered before black and white was invented!
