Once you get to Farmington NM you aint going anywhere fast. 45 mph tops
Farmington would be way (68 miles) out of the way from Palm Desert to Taos.

Nonetheless, average speed between Farmington (if one chose to go through there) to Taos is estimated at over 50 miles per hour.  I suspect your single experience is flawed if you didn't get over 45.
Not flawed at all. Slow going around the Rez and west of Taos. Maybe I was going slow to enjoy the scenery and spot dead cows.  Grin ...

And that, Fudgie, would be a flaw in applying your experience to the maximum speed someone else could go.   Wink
I don't know, you spot 2 dead head of cattle you kinda start looking for more.  Grin

We'll certainly get her on the Who's Going list.  Since you are going together you paid $9 too much by registering separately unless you want separate packages.  We can fix that if we haven't yet processed your card.

It was just a weird coincidence in timing.  Her registration went in 4 minute after yours.  The day's updating stopped after you.  She will be added today.

Bump!

My wife actually said I could run over to Taos from Palm Desert if I wanted to! cooldude
But then, 3-4 days from our week holiday, is it really a yes, or is it like, arms folded "Yes, you can go golfing if you really want to"  tickedoff kind of woman reply? Maybe I should go? angel

LOL!  It's a wisdom test.  I'd say unless you're on your way to a separation anyway you shouldn't take that permission.

An alternative may be to bring her with you for a one day visit to InZane.

We are registered! It's been a long time since we've been to Inzane. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making some new!  Smiley

Hopefully y'all don't mind us bringing the Indian trike.  Cool We still have our '97 Valk (the Lady in Red) but won't be bringing it this time.

If you decide you want to chance it, you could pick up a Valkyrie in Surprise (it's on the way).  We've got a spare or 2.

That's a great offer f6gal, Thank You. Like others have said, most likely a "test", and I would be well advised to treat it as sure.

Plus I'm sure it would be a 1 1/2 day ride each direction, so make it 3 days, and I would want to spend a night in Taos to mingle, say 4 days, means I wont have much time in Palm Desert.

Bump!

64 is a great road and not a lot of traffic east of Taos. Lot of mountains and curves. Between Taos and Cimarron is the large boy scout ranch. Kids from all over the US go there. Cimarron is "Where the plains meets the mountains". There is a small hotel in Cimarron that is worth the stop If your into western lore. Its haunted too. We stayed there last aug but didn't hear or see anything. We spent 2 days last yr riding 64 from AZ to Oklahoma. Very pretty.

Got the order, Joe.  Glad to see it.  Lori has been the one updating Who's Going.  She's been a bit distracted fixing three meals each day for 57 people.  The event will end 25 February.

There may have been one mistake in the order.  It appears the shirt ordered was one size too large to fit me.   Roll Eyes
