It was cold and windy but the sky was interesting today. The colors and the moon being out so early with so much light around was different. The colors were pretty interesting and I had never really seen those shades before. The first pic was out over an open field of cane.

This picture was the opposite direction of the first

This reminded me of a highway in the sky.

Cold is relative according to Einstein (or is that relativity). 14* was our high today after getting dumped on Friday night and Saturday morning. But I could have sworn I was getting frostbite in my fingers while fishing for specs on Lake Okeechobee at 60* in January. I have also hunted in -10* and been quite comfortable.

that last pic of the road of a cloud in the sky is pretty cool looking.

Devils Lake ND is the coldest I have been out in ice fishing about -20 and 30+ mph winds.  NUTS to be out there even but we lived to see another day...   Long way to drive for 3 days of fishing from WI only catching muddy northern pike, few dinky walleyes and a couple perch.  3-4 day coldfront had all fish on lockjaw.

Well it was about 50 and the wind was blowing so that would be considered a cold wave here.  Wink

I dont know what it is here but I have been in Mass, Vermont and Colorado when the temp was -24 and beards and facial hair filled with ice and been fine, but here the cold just seems to go right through you. This am it was 42 on the temp scale so that is a cold wave here.

But really they were predicting the mother of all storms but

But never had this happen to me, how not to start the day.
