Never thought I would consider this. How many have triked a bike and how have you liked or disliked it ?

Triked mine in 2004. With 72,000 miles on it
Now has 211,000 miles.
Would not go back to 2 wheels even if someone gave me a bike.
One very important thing to research when considering a trike is the installer. I had a terrible one and had to fix all the issues myself. I would go and ride different brands to get the one you like the best.

There's a whole bunch of good riders out there who like their triked Valkyries...

I always imagine that if I got on three wheels it would be one of those
that leans, like a Tilting Motorworks or one of those weird new Yamahas...

Like mentioned already Trike kit is important.  Some older Trike kits don’t perform as well as others. We have owned 2 Valkyrie Trikes in teaching my wife to ride. 1997 with 2000 Motortrike kit and solid axle. Rough ride. My Honda dealer/Motortrike dealer and friend really tried to get us to sell it after Showing it to him.  Said the older Motortrike kits were not made well. We took his advise and bought a beautiful 2000 Interstate with a 2014 Roadsmith kit with Independent suspension and air ride. Great Trike. We had 8 degree Roadsmith Rake installed and my wife loves it.
It can cost a lot of money to Trike an older Valkyrie. We paid less for our Roadsmith Trike than the kit cost the previous owner. If you look around nice Valkyrie Trikes do come up for sale. Nice looking one just came up for sale on the Classified ad section of this board with what they say is new California Side Car kit installed.
With the right Rake kit installed a Valkyrie Trike can be a lot of fun to ride. Good luck in your research.

My local shop does trike installs. He is a dealer for Champion and DFT. Champion's IRS is excellent and their fiberglass work is the best in his opinion. DFT has the best rear suspension but their fiberglass/color matching is poor.

Thanks. Appears to be more options than I thought.

15 years ago when I had my knee replacement I looked into a trike conversion. I traveled over to Troupe, Texas. To the Motor Trike facility. I was very impressed with their product. I was allowed to test ride a Valk  trike. After a few miles I was like a duck in water.

Patrick,
I have a Valk trike with a Lehman trike kit. It has a 6 degree rake on the forks.
My wife has a Valk trike with a California Sidecar trike kit. It has a 8 degree rake on the front forks.
Very important to have the forks raked. The difference from stock is like night and day.
If you ride one with stock forks you probably will not like it as it makes it very hard to steer.
Daryl at vtxtreme makes rake kits. Not an indorsment, just know him from VRCC events.
By the way, California Sidecar no longer makes trike kits for Valkyries.

To follow up with thedon's response, Roadsmith doesn't make a Valkyrie specific trike kit any more, it's a "universal" fit body so a good installer is key, because  I've seen Valkyrie Roadsmith trikes where there is a noticeable gap behind the side cover, fortunately I found that out before I had the kit installed and found an installer who could fabricate a piece to fill in that area.

Frank, one of the reasons I was told that the open area is there was due to the Roadsmith kit for a Goldwing or Valkyrie adds 10" to the length of the Trike.  I'm still looking for some nice way to cover up that one area in the middle.  Very happy with the 2014 Roadsmith Trike Kit on my wife's Interstate.  It is awesome.  It also has the air ride.
