Only because it's new.  Same thing happened in the other states that legalized, and taxed it.  The tax eventually sent people back to their dealers.

Not me. I may have my tin foil hat on, but I'm not alone in feeling that weed legalization is more about gun control than anything else.  https://www.pressherald.com/2017/01/27/federal-agency-making-it-clear-marijuana-users-cant-buy-guns/

It's more about natural selection, and buying votes from those who had no intention of working hard anyway.

Do people use tin because it’s cheap, or does have more superpower than other metals ? But really, I think that has been the case for awhile now. Is someone who smoked a joint in 1982 a user ? I choose no to the question. If someone deems me to be untruthful about that, I guess I’ll deal with that then.

Weird part is that Federal Law also says you can't buy weed. I assume anyone who "legally" buys and uses weed will also be able to ignore any other Federal laws they find inconvenient, including guns  2funny

It's a reference to a scene from a Mel Gibson movie.  I honestly believe they were aluminum foil hats but that has too many syllables to flow smoothly.

The Federal ATF Form 4473, at block 11e, has always asked if you are an unlawful user of weed (or any other controlled substance).  They've now added a sentence that says weed remains illegal with the Fed, even if it is okey doky in your state.

One might argue that drinking alcohol, even chronically, does not prohibit you from buying and owning guns, though you are expected to not be under the influence when operating guns.  And the same could be true for weed, except weed remains illegal at the Federal level..... the same level where all guns are regulated.

If you value your 2d Amendment rights, you are a dope to sign up for legal weed in your state.  You can make any legal argument you want, but you will lose.

This may change at the Federal level at some point, but probably not until 2082 or thereabouts.

Now this is a shotgun.   Grin

That thing could probably be adapted for crowd and riot control.  But only at the state level.

I'm no expert, and VA is neither a medical or recreational state.  But it's my understanding that there is some form of record keeping with either or both systems.  Records that are discoverable by Federal authorities.

I believe one is being built in Sturbridge.  Once the hubbub died down, the lines have gone away at the first two.

Serk, once you get out of the cities, just like most states, the percentage of crazy liberal policies and people ramps way down and things are more down to earth.

Never been there, but I hear Austin may be similar?

Rural Massachusetts has lots to offer and is as good as any other part of the country to be.

Whenever I visit the inside of Rte 128, I'm always packing my tin hat. Smiley

I agree with you, once you get out of the big cities even in failed states like NY, MA, NJ, CA, etc the people are decent, hard working honest folk.

And on the same token, once you go into the big cities even in currently free states like Texas, the cities have been lost; not just Austin, but all the big cities, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio.

The difference being, for now at least, is that the overall state government in Texas (And other still free states) is still liberty minded, instead of the overall reach of the state government in non-free states being..... less freedom oriented...
