A few months back rep Steve King R-IA made remarks about white supremacy and was promptly chastised and stripped of his committee appointments by Republicans.

Fast forward to last week. Rep Omar D-MN makes anti-semetic statements and continues to condemn Israel. So far she still has her committee appointment and the Dems have refused to punish her. Pelosi refuses to attach Omar's name to a resolution about anti-Semitism.  Even Jewish senator Chuck Schumer has not condemned her. What the ferk. The continued hypocrisy in the Democratic party is baffling to me.

Steve King deserved his punishment. Omar deserves the same.

The biggest difference is King did this for many years till they finally had enough. I doubt Pelosi will let her leash be as long as King's was.

Omar has only been a rep for two freaking months. I'm sure she has been saying this anti-semitic crap for years.

If that is your point how in the hell did Sen Bob Byrd stay a senator for so long? Because he was a democrat.

Mark-absofrikkinlutely no surprise at how the dems handle themselves at all. NONE what so ever. They-dems-have made their agenda perfectly clear as often as they open their pie holes and make noise. And while I am miffed at the dems decision to do nothing I was in no way shape or form surprised at the lack of discipline to one of their own. Other than cagers on a ride the biggest collection of ignorant keesters in one place are the current crop of dems in deception central. The newer players already appear brainwashed. RIDE SAFE.

Steve King did this for many years? Prove it.

Not by a bunch of so called reports by biased media.

Find direct quotes, in context, that would prove that.

The guy is my rep here in Iowa. Farmer and business background.
I voted for the guy. The accusations of white supremacy are bogus. The accusations that he supports such things are bogus. He has been a pain in the ass to the establishment in DC. They been looking for an excuse to knock him down a few pegs.

He's a staunch supporter of Israel. Received accolades from the Jewish community for his support.

So prove it

You’ve made up your mind about your Representative, no amount of proof is going to change that. I guess his fellow Republicans railroaded him ? (Ran Train ?)

You know why he does that. If he has to answer questions or provide ed proof of his insane remarks he might be proved wrong. Instead he would rather keep digging himself a hole the disappear from the thread. It's a snuggling game to him. The best thing all of us could do is ignore him and let him talk amongst himself.

You are really becoming a disappointment.
I am giving you the opportunity to prove your statements that Steve King is a racist and white supremacist.

You decline saying I've made my mind up yet you make the claims you refuse to back up.

I've literally met Steve King so I know a whole lot of the crap the media has been spewing about him is just that, crap.

Why should anyone be surprised by Omar's views?

The Democratic party has become today's hate group, today's version of the Nazis, the KKK and Orwell's Big Brother all rolled into one.

They violently attack people in MAGA hats and pay for fake attacks on themselves to further divide our country. They accuse Conservatives of the very hate they promote themselves. They create hopelessness, fear & hate in the downtrodden and use it to control them just as Hitler did when he blamed his country's woes on the Jews.

We are always just one election away from fascism, from socialism, from disaster. That's the nature of a free society. But, for a free society to succeed, to flourish, it's citizens must be rational and knowledgeable. Today's left takes pride in it's own idiocy. I'm not sure how we can survive if we continue to vote the kind of irrational lunatics into office the left is currently electing and defending.

The house voted overwhelming to pass new anti bigotry law 407 to 23. It sounds like a good idea but 23 republican reps voted against it because it doesn't name Omar by name. Every dem voted for it. I understand that some Jewish Democrat's had reservation about it. Then why did they vote for it? What started as a discussion on anti-semitism ended on a anti Muslim note. Huh?

Again how does Rep King get punished and removed from his appointment BUT Omar goes on unpunished. This is absolute BS. I saw Pelosi's comments on this resolution. Disgusting to say the least. She defended Omar. 'She didn't mean what she said". Pelosi is on a break from reality. Nothing new for her though.

That's may be true but when someone says "he doesn't know which one is dumber, you or your brother" during a political discussion on the board it kind of makes it difficult to want to be friend's with that person.

You know it’s not fair to use words like meta with me. I’m too lazy to google it. Brian, I consider you a friend as well. I’m very sad that my odds for Taos are only at about 10%

well that just increased my odds of going by 90+%
2funny 2funny 2funny I had the same thought but I have to work.  Undecided

I am pretty darn conservative but have met and shared wind with Rob and he is a good person with different political beliefs.  And that's OK with me.  It's a lot easier to write this drivel from the comfort of a keyboard, but if you take the time to meet people face to face, you might find a friend.  I definitely did.  Meathead and Baldo are good guys.  And that's all I have to say about that.

That's may be true but when someone says "he doesn't know which one is dumber, you or your brother" during a political discussion on the board it kind of makes it difficult to want to be friend's with that person.

The problem with social postings are multiple.  You can't see the face or know the voice inflections, so we often define the meaning of the answer to your own preconceived notion of what you think the answer would be from the poster.  A funny comment in person looks like a scathing insult in print. And no one ever changed anyone's mind or opinion as a result of a social post.

I don't think in any way I will change one person's opinion on Meathead or Baldo, but that's OK.  I admit I was wondering about the postings of both these guys and made it a point, a goal, to meet them at Inzane and talk.  I found 2 thoughtful guys who are as patriotic as I am, but with different views on how the country should achieve it's goals.  Neither told me that they wanted an overthrow of the government just changes.

I rode with Meathead and his lovely wife Brenda, shared a meal and found out they are amazing people.  I was on the scavenger hunt ride and when a bike broke down due to an electrical issue, Baldo used his tools and the electrical parts he had in his trunk to get this Valkyrie trike back running while the rest of us watched and tried to figure out what he was doing on that Valkyrie trike.

I posted my opinion, you guys posted yours and the sun came up this morning an hour later than yesterday.   Life is good.  God is good.

the problem is their views as are the democrats and rinos are anti US constitution which is anti-american which is the overthrow of the govt.  Have u been paying attention to the democrat party lately?  They elect muslims who hate all non-muslims.  All one needs to do is read UN 2030 Agenda and Globalization 4.0 davos '19. word for word the same as the democrat platform. Who has researched the Justice Democrats? their platform is new green deal for one, which is UN 2030 agenda.  AOC and omar are members.
I worked with and was friends with a bleeding heart liberal for many yrs. he was a smart engineer and pro-gun owner and hunter. Yet he voted democrat always, the same people who want to take away his freedom to own a gun and hunt. when I would question his voting he would get mad and would stop talking about it.  made zero sense to me.

The global warming hypocrites jetted in to SWSX 2019.

AOC and Warren are prime examples.

That's one person's opinion.
[/quote]  No, there's 2.  Probably more out there.

I don't agree with Rob & Bob's political views, but I've ridden with them, drank beers and broken bread with them and have enjoyed every minute.

I'd do it again anytime, whoever they voted for.

Gives me more to pick on them about.

Ok, against my better judgement, I’ll jump in here.
Ridden with Rob & Bob, split a room with Bob twice on Oss’ Fall Ride.
Never anything but good times.
Bob & I did institute a “No Fox/No CNN policy on tv in the room.  Grin
Also met & rode with Bob’s buddy Scott.
Personally, I like Scott better than either of them.

Just sayin...
