We should cut down all trees and supply all minorities with a lifetime of access to Roundup.

It is almost so stupid, it seems like one of Serk's satire spots.

My wife likes to watch a show called "My 600 lb. life". When I ask why, she always tells me "It makes me feel better about myself". I guess this story has that going for it.

Nope, not satire... Report from a more mainstream source:

The line between satire and serious "news" has been getting very wuzzy lately though.

Folks with that intelligence level, are deserving of our sympathy, but should not be registered to vote or run for office. Perhaps they should not leave their parents home without an attendant to be on the safe side.

Tell me again that all folks are created equal?

All equal at birth, but what one does with the rest of their lives is the real story. Not sure how this applies to late term abortions so maybe not so equal at birth either.

It's sad that we have tests for a drivers license, but assume the people running for office can dress themselves or have a snuggling clue about anything but stealing money from others' paychecks.

Like this brain dead gem from what's left of the Dearborn area;

WASHINGTON (AP) The Latest on House Democrats and Rep. Ilhan Omar's comments about Israel (all times local):

11:20 a.m.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says freshman Democrat Ilhan Omar didn't realize her words about Israel would sound anti-Semitic to some powerful members of Congress.

Omar's comment that a pledge of "allegiance" to the Jewish state is expected of lawmakers sparked enough outrage to split Democrats and throw their agenda into question. Some Democrats wanted a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, while others said that would have unfairly singled out the Minnesota Democrat.

Pelosi told reporters the resolution the House will vote on Thursday will "speak out against anti-Semitism, anti-Islamophobia, anti-white supremacy and all the forms that it takes."

Of Omar, Pelosi said, "I do not believe she understood the full weight of her words. These words have a history and a cultural impact."

Omar, a Somali-American, is one of two Muslim women in the House.

___

10:30 a.m.

The House is expected to vote Thursday on a resolution "opposing hate" as Democrats try to move on from a controversy that has split the party and clouded their agenda.

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced the vote at a private morning meeting of House Democrats, according to a spokeswoman.

Democrats have been in knots after comments from newly elected Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., that were seen as anti-Semitic. A Muslim-American, she has been critical of Israel.

Some Democratic lawmakers wanted a resolution that rebuked the comments, but others viewed the condemnation as unfairly singling out Omar at a time when President Donald Trump and others have made disparaging racial comments.

A draft resolution was panned by many Democrats, and a new text was being prepared ahead of voting.

WASHINGTON (AP) Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday the House will vote on a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and other forms of hate after an upheaval that split Democrats and clouded their agenda. But Pelosi said the measure won't name Ilhan Omar, the freshman Democrat whose comments about Israel sparked the uproar.

Pelosi defended Omar and says she does not believe the new congresswoman understood the "weight of her words" or that they would be perceived by some as anti-Semitic.

"It's not about her. It's about these forms of hatred," Pelosi told reporters.

The move was in part intended to resolve a divide that opened after Omar, D-Minn., said that Israel's supporters were pushing lawmakers to take a pledge of "allegiance" to a foreign country. A Muslim-American, she has been critical of the Jewish state in the past and apologized for those previous comments.

But she has not apologized for what many in Congress saw as a suggestion that Israel's supporters have split loyalties. And that sparked a demand from some quarters to put a resolution on the floor condemning anti-Semitism.

Other members who wanted to broaden it to include a rejection of all forms of racism and bigotry. Some proposed two separate resolutions. Others questioned whether a resolution was necessary, and viewed such a move as unfairly singling out Omar at a time when President Donald Trump and others have made disparaging racial comments.

Early Thursday, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told Democrats that the House would vote later in the day.

That seemed to quiet some of the dissention, but there remained frustration that the party that touts its diversity conducted such a messy and public debate about how to declare its opposition to bigotry.

"This shouldn't be so hard," said Rep. Ted Deutch, D-Fla., said on the House floor Thursday.

The abrupt turn of events come as Democratic leaders try to quickly fend off a challenge from Republicans on the issue.

Democratic leaders worried they could run into trouble on another bill, their signature ethics and voting reform package, if Republicans tried to tack their own anti-Semitism bill on as an amendment.

By voting Thursday, the House Democratic vote counters believe they could inoculate their lawmakers against such a move by passing Democrats' own anti-hate bill.

My five giant oaks have been hating on me every spring for 26 years.

A garage would be nice, but then my taxes would probably double. So I do a lot of this, starting on my roof. (not me, my brother)

I can fill 70 gallon dumpers with this.

I got a persistent sore throat last spring, so I went to the ENT doc, who poked a TV camera down my nose and throat and proclaimed I had an allergy.  I never had one before, but.....

But now I see this can all be solved by going down to the EEOC and filing a complaint, and getting a hate crime injunction on my trees.

This gal is the poster child for dumber than dirt.

IMHO, some folks are just looking for an opportunity to cry fowl.
Seems applicable here.

I wonder if she's the type to get offended when someone holds a door for her.

I wonder if she's the type to get offended when someone holds a door for her.

It's a well constructed catch-22 with that type:

If you DO hold the door for them, you're a misogynist exerting your male dominance and they're offended.

If you do NOT hold the door for them, you're a male chauvinist who refuses to treat a lady like a lady, and they're offended.

...I'll continue being a male chauvinist who holds the door for anyone within range... *Shrug*

A good part of the time I cannot tell who or what (based on their dress and actions) it is that I am holding the door open for.

I am unsure what that makes one.
