We are going to see Bill Maher in a couple weeks

WHY?

Craig
It's a weekend getaway for Brenda and I. I like him.  Wink

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But IMHO Bill Maher is nothing but a opinionated blowhard POS that said after 911 that we deserved it. So bad it got him fired from comedy central. I personally have no use for him. But have at. No accounting for taste I guess......

I can respect someone's being entertained by an entertainer they don't necessarily believe.

I mean, I love Slayer, take my family to Slayer concerts, scream along to the lyrics, but I don't really believe in, much less worship Satan...  Evil

You guys have got my interest now. I see they have one in Vegas. I'll check it out.

Wal-Mart AND CFA? Your friends on the left will surely disown you! Smiley

But yeah, it's really good stuff.....

The food is really good, but the service pushes it over the top. As was mentioned, be sure to try the different sauces, the Chick-Fil-A sauce is great, and the lemonade they have (Even the sugar free version!) is good stuff.....

I look forward to your review...

99% of my friends are right leaning. (All 3 of them)  Smiley We are going to see Bill Maher in a couple weeks (any heads exploding yet ?) I will try to work in a visit then.

If you like hot wings or similar-go with the hot & spicy version. Mouthgasm. ...

cooldude   cooldude  and be sure to get the hot dipping sauce.

Additionally I am very pleased with how they have taught their employees to respond to thank yous with. "My pleasure."  I find that very meaningful and pleasant.

Lately every time I get a "No problem" in response to "Thank you" I immediately correct them with "You're welcome".  Sick of that.

freedom of speech only if it agrees with the liberal agenda

This is the path to facism but our students are too self absorbed to be able to see the connection

The bathrooms in my synagogue now have three symbols. I dont want to see some lady squatting on a urinal.

The whole thing makes no sense as there are 4 bathrooms (2 on either side of the social hall). IMHO 2 should remain male or female one should be whatever the hell and one for changing babies

But WTF do I know  In my office there is one bathroom and it can be used one person at a time.  If a rest room can be used by more than one person it should have a single sex sign unless there are more than 2 bathrooms

A problem here.  Either Baldo is right leaning or he's not Rob's friend.

(You can only have a grouping of 99% of your friends if you have more than 100.  For three you can only group at 33%, 66% and 100%.)

Finally got out for the 1st ride of the year today. Burnt all that old gas out and filled with fresh.
And with all this chicken talk, thought I’d try CFA.
Pulled into a nice clean lot, and parked in the front row.
As I walked to the door, a small boy was holding the door for me. I grabbed the door, said thanks to him and expected him to walk out by me. His dad asked me to let him hold the door, as they were working on his manners now that he was old enough.
Huh...kids learning manners? Maybe a hidden camera somewhere? Entered the Twilight Zone?? Dunno...
The place was busy, but the line moved fast. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Meal, with CFA sauce and a large lemonade (all suggested here).
I grabbed a seat and my meal was delivered in a timely manner. As I looked around, there were a lot of families with lots of kids. But none were running wild...huh, weird...lots of kids behaving? Gotta be the Twilight Zone...
And at the risk of being labeled some sort of “ist”, I also observed 2 Spanish families, 2 black families, and a bi-racial family, 2 tables with just women and 1 other table with a single guy. (All also behaving).
This restaurant is located in the 2nd biggest city in MA., and I’m still in awe of how nice people were. Almost like I was down south....
The grub was good too, I left some of the waffle cut fries, as I’m trying to drop 20lbs before new hip day, and an employee asked if something was wrong with them, and would I like a new order?
All in all, I don’t see what the big deal is. No one preached anything to me, no signs, or posters about hating anybody, just a pleasant experience with good food.

I'm really looking forward to my visit with the chicken masters also. I was thinking of the same meal you had. I haven't followed the flack with them much, but as I remember it was mostly about the owner voicing his disapproval with same sex marriage. And also I think he contributed to non profits that did that aversion therapy on gay people (or whatever it was called). I have no problem with him saying and doing as he pleases. I doubt people can be converted to non gay though.

I have to admit to never eaten at CFA.
BUT, all of this talk about the owners philosophy has made me look up where the closest one is located. I now plan to spend a little money there myself.  I think I will try the spicy chicken like others have suggested.

As I have stated before, I have no idea how to classify you. The problem with the liberals being discussed in this thread is that since they don’t agree with the business philosophy of the company in question, no one, even those who either don’t care or possibly even approve of their practices won’t have the opportunity to use their services in a public location where people from all walks of life, some who like chicken and some who may not.

If the lgbt community would not want to partake of their chicken they could choose to eat elsewhere. I don’t frequent gay bars but I don’t think conservative minded people should start trying to control where they decide to open them.

I'm not sure you or we can classify the Airport Managers (or whoever makes those decisions) as liberals either.
There are many religious minded people who try to control when and where businesses can open. It's not just a liberal thing.

In San Antonio at least it was 100% a liberal (aka Progressive) political move, by the city council, not a business decision by an airport manager.

Quote from one of the city council members after denying Chick-Fil-A a spot in the airport:

"With this decision, the City Council reaffirmed the work our city has done to become a champion of equality and inclusion. San Antonio is a city full of compassion, and we do not have room in our public facilities for a business with a legacy of anti-LGBTQ behavior, Everyone has a place here, and everyone should feel welcome when they walk through our airport."

(The irony of his "Everyone has a place here" while denying people a place there was, of course, completely lost on him.)

Yep they can discriminate but let the owners of a restaurant have a conviction of religion and all of a sudden the table turns.  uglystupid2

Mike what bugs me about that report is the LGBT folks think they are special. Well they are in their own way 2funny but why does it bother them that the owner of a nationwide food chain is a CHRISTian and he believes what the bible teaches? They dont have to patronize his business it will not affect his bottom line either way.

(The irony of his "Everyone has a place here" while denying people a place there was, of course, completely lost on him.)

Liberal tolerance is a one way street. We have to be tolerant of their lifestyle or we are bigots but God forbid they should be tolerant of Christian beliefs.

Chick-fil-A does  The Missing Man Table on Memorial Day, I do not think they all do it. It will bring a tear to an eye seeing it and knowing what it represents.

Bill Maher...and his "KID LOVE PRODUCTIONS" company...what is he trying to promote.
AND...he is just one of many who wears the red shoes!!! search that out for yourself.

Yup, used to watch Maher's tv show in his early years, (way before 911) went and saw him doing standup at Zanies in a N. Chicago suburb also. Went to meet him after the set when he was up at the bar and couldn't believe what a conceited little prick he was-a full 5'0" of turd. Never paid him any attention to him after that, never will. Saw many people their in their early days, like Drew Carey when he was fresh out of the Marines. Good guy, fun to talk with and just like he was like on the Drew Carey Show many years later.  cooldude
I honestly think Maher is a great argument against daily, heavy pot use. He's off the rails useless.

I have a short list of people I'd pay serious money to watch loaded in a catapult and blasted off.

Bill Maher, Samantha B, Rosie O, B. Streisand, N. Pelosi, S. Jackson, R. DeNiro, S. Field, A. Gore, H. Clinton. E. Holder, A. Baldwin, C. Matthews, R. Maddow, Judge Ginsburg, everyone who owns and works at CNN and MSNBC, most of the Dem Party Leadership, the vast majority of big city mayors, everyone who talks and texts on cell phones while driving..... well, lets see, maybe the list is longer than I thought.   Grin

I think I'd just want to scare the crap out of the cell phone offenders - for the first offense, that is.
