There is something seriously wrong with San Antonio. Chick-Fil-A is one of the most pleasant, friendly, helpful fast food restaurants out there. I've never had an unpleasant experiance at one (although some of them and sometimes have been very busy - not the fault of the restaurant).
It’s not that ther’s something wrong with us. There’s something wrong with our liberal ass city council that is now trying to show everyone that we are a progressive city. Many here are up in arms over it including our senator, Ted Cruz, and the Texas governor. The vote was 6 to 4. There are already investigations being planned into whether this is a case of discrimination against Chic-Fil-A’s religious freedom. My family and I have vowed to eat there more often.

I think I'd just want to scare the crap out of the cell phone offenders - for the first offense, that is.
The serial offenders have been at it for years and years. They've been told and warned. It's time for the catapult.

I have no problem with people who talk or text while driving, as long as they can do it without hitting me.
Of course, I also think drunk driving shouldn't be illegal...
...drunk crashing, that's where the problem is!
(In other words, I think results, not contributing factors should be criminalized.)
But I admit, I might be a bit outta the mainstream on more than a few stances.
ANY care I MIGHT have had for Bill Maher (Which was already approaching zero) went negative when he ripped on Stan Lee right after he died. He can go straight to hell as far as I'm concerned.

I’m a San Antonio native and have been here for all but 1 of my 52 years of life. This city wasn’t like this until we started getting mass migrations of people relocating here because of our climate and easy cost of living. They’ve brought their liberalism with them and this city has changed, although we are nowhere near as far gone as Austin. We call Austin “Little Berkley.”

I can respect someone's being entertained by an entertainer they don't necessarily believe. I mean, I love Slayer, take my family to Slayer concerts, scream along to the lyrics, but I don't really believe in, much less worship Satan... slayer, really? You must've been hardcore back in the day?

You must've been hardcore back in the day? Slayer was the elder spawn's first "real" rock concert (Beyond Weird Al Yankovic)... Took the spousal unit and the elder spawn to Slayer's farewell concert in Dallas just a week or so after Inzane last year, they both loved it and got bloodied up pretty well in the mosh pit. I tried to most once back in the day, I felt like Moses parting the Red Sea... I tried to mosh, but everyone decided to get outta the way when I came through, so I was just running in circles, not much fun...

Dangit, this thread just cost me a nice wad of cash, got to searching and turns out Slayer's making one final pass through Dallas before they quit touring in May..... So looks like the elder spawn, the spousal unit and myself will be getting Slay'ed one last time before they retire now...

I have a short list of people I'd pay serious money to watch loaded in a catapult and blasted off. Bill Maher, Samantha B, Rosie O, B. Streisand, N. Pelosi, S. Jackson, R. DeNiro, S. Field, A. Gore, H. Clinton. E. Holder, A. Baldwin, C. Matthews, R. Maddow, Judge Ginsburg, everyone who owns and works at CNN and MSNBC, most of the Dem Party Leadership, the vast majority of big city mayors, everyone who talks and texts on cell phones while driving..... well, lets see, maybe the list is longer than I thought. That catapult looks far too accurate to have them in it.

And can you imagine the damage on the receiving end of Rosie O'Donnel being flung into the air like that?

Ok, I wanna hear more about the "Weird Al Yankovic" concert!! The spoiled kid has been to I think 4 Weird Al Yankovic concerts so far, her first when she was 9... If you ever get the chance to see him live, do it! About the only live performer I've seen that puts more into his live performances is Meatloaf... Only reason we're missing seeing Weird Al this year is because he's in Dallas smack dab in the middle of Inzane.

I do try to avoid dishes consisting of chicken breasts though as it really annoys me to get the tiny little nipples stuck between my teeth.

I don't care for all this Divided States of America. I my opinion, all politicians are liars and corrupt, it's their job. Just two cheeks from the same ass. Two years of arguing and bickering and not a damn thing worthwhile done to improve the lot of this once great nation. "A house divided cannot stand...", No, a Republican didn't think of that, he merely plagiarized the Bible.
On to Cik Fil A.... I don't care for chicken nuggets... Their food is like ten ways to wrap a chicken nugget and charge a lot of money for it. Just tried it today and am unimpressed.
But everyone is entitled to their opinion, right?

Opinions, yes. Alternative facts, no. The Chik Fil A sammiches are a big, solid, single hunk of chicken. Nothing nugget about them. Maybe you were in a Burger King?

Chick Fil A does sell some chicken "nuggets" but their sandwiches are real , solid, breaded chicken breasts - not nuggets at all.
I wouldn't do a 300 mile trip JUST for Chick-Fil_A, but if you're close and want to try it, I'd suggest it.

When I went there yesterday, I noticed the "nuggets"... when the manager brought my my cookies-to-go (it is normal for the manager to be running things like that out to customers waiting for their orders) I asked him if the nuggets were real chicken or chopped pressed chicken-like product... they're real chicken dipped and fried in-store daily. I guess "nuggets" draw children, I've had any number of nephews and nieces who subsisted on chicken fingers and chicken nuggets, at least when we were out at restaurants... I don't want to oversell chic-fil-a... they're just quickie food... but they're a notch above in some areas... the non-sullen employees are a big win for me and that the progressives hate them is just icing on the cake ... -Mike

“Some” progressives hate them Oh like the "nice" progressive that taped himself going through a Chick-fil-A drive-through ordering a water just so he could belittle and chastise the poor female drive-through cashier and make her cry because of the companies religious beliefs. The only good thing that came out of it was right after he posted the video to FB he was promptly fired from his executive job upon his return to work. The last time my brother checked he has yet to find another job.

Wow, a very interesting story.
It seems to me a lot of (low level) criminals get off better than he did.
Not that he didn't earn his trouble.
Protesting is your right, but picking on a drive through clerk to do it is low class (and self absorbed).
It also shows us that some people and companies that stand up for what they think is moral and right (and suffer consequences for it), become beacons of hope for many good and regular folks in America. So if you take these people and companies on, you may get pay back way beyond what you thought you might.
And Chick-Fil-A didn't cause his trouble, he and a lot of regular American folk did.
