I've had four weekend's off in 2019 and three of those with rain  Sad

Just got my new rear tire delivered for my trip out west on my bike. I'm diggin' this thread pattern. Achilles ATR Sport Performance 205/55/16 it's directional soft compound.
All I need now is a couple more weekends off the get my maintenance done on the Interstate.

I put new tires on my bike just before the Bigwolf Recon.  Unfortunately, the Avon Cobra on the front has turned out to be bad.  Now another “new” front tire is sitting in my garage waiting for my time to install it.  On the up side, my 5 year old battery just died so my epic trip to Inzane will start out with a new battery rather than have an old one fail on the road somewhere.

Where does the time go?  ......... seems like just last year that I put a new battery in the bike but my records say it’s been 5 years.

In an attempt to make my ride a bit less hideous, I'm swapping the wheels out with a very nice pair and new tires. Also a nice OEM exhaust, shiny new heel toe, and various other bits.
Mechanically, alternator maintenance and valve adjustment is due.

This along with several upholstery projects to be completed and overtime to be worked.

I'll need to take a vacation in order to take a vacation.

Joe once again my week off is the week before Inzane Undecided I will be in Taos the week before inzane. Have been there the last 5 yrs on my long trip of the summer. I may run into some of you on my way home somewhere. Ran into a couple of folks at a gas station the year it was in spearfish. Wish I had the option of when to take my Vacation. But sadly I dont. All that go be safe and have a great ride. Many good roads in the area hwy 64 out there is cool the ride over into angelfire is awesome. Wish I could ride it with Valk brothers.  Cry

Only 4 1/2 hours - 272 miles for us. One gas stop. Too easy.  Oh well, we'll be nice and rested for riding around Taos!

The rest of the bike will have a little rust, corrosion, and/or dirt. You can't miss it.

Maybe there'll be a sticker or two on it..... Cool

You know there might be at least one rider who runs out of tire or brake pads because they didn't check.

I just installed new front pads and my rear pads have about 2/3 left.

I still need to at least do a rudimentary check of my Valks, especially if Kali ends up riding one of 'em. The Standard, sadly, hasn't been ridden much lately other than by her. I still love my Standard, but I hafta get the Interstate out to get the Standard out, AND she can't ride it with my seat on it, so I hafta swap seats out, just usually easier to take off on the Interstate...

I always carry a full set of pads, a starter relay and ignition, amongst other bits. They don't take up too much room and can really make a difference in someones day.

Sadly I'll not be making the trip either due to homebound caregiver duties. Back in the mid-90's my wife and I and at least two other couples spent half of August in Angel Fire three years in a row. I'd like nothing more than to be able to do it again....but not to be.  Sad
