I take it you are referring to the spelling  2funny Saw a Pierce Motorcycle sell on an auction in the late 70's for $500. Bet it would go for a bit more now.

No, I figure Pearce was the fellow's name that owned the Harley shop... there's a SID under
the sign on the brick wall, that let's me know my father painted it... I just wonder where
the shop was... not Greenville SC. My father lived in Maryland, near DC, for a short
while after the war (WWII), so I guess the shop was near there...
