Is it just me or does someone else think they may be playing games with the name of this culinary establishment?

Yup, I always get a chuckle out of the name of that place, but they do have very tasty tacos!

...and then there's this place...

Yes, it's just you.  Smiley. Similar to SWAGs (Scientfic Wild Ass Guesses), the first two don't count.  Wink

My dear, lovely Mother once told my future bride to be, "why do you think they made it look like a taco".

Several of the Fuzzy’s I’ve been to have “If it looks like a taco and smells like a fish, it has to be a tasty dish” painted on the wall. . Draw your own conclusions.

Maybe, maybe not.
I know of two others named Fuzzys and neither is part of the "chain".
One is a local food establishment in Madison NC and the other is a local food and drink establishment in Sale Creek TN and both predate the chain by years and if I remember correctly Tacos are not on either menu.

My point.  The paintings on the wall and the fish with it's tongue ( do fish have tongues?) protruding (That's backwards, isn't it?).  The difference between Fuzzy's Taco and fuzzy taco are minimal.

It's not an accusation.  I enjoy an interesting twist of terms.

do fish have tongues?

Yes, they do....

They also have (Warning, about to take thread from pleasant and light hearted to dark and terrifying) a parasitic isopod that attaches to a host fish via its gills, goes into the fish's mouth, eats the tongue away, and then becomes the fish's tongue.

I decided to be merciful and not link an image of one, if anyone's REALLY curious (And it is nightmare fuel material) do an image search on "Cymothoa exigua"

...we now return you to our previously scheduled double entendre celebration of lady bits.

All these (not so) subtle double entendre restaurant names are feminine in nature.

I am unlikely to go into a a place called Harry Weiner's Coney Island dogs.

Then again, I'm not big on big fuzzy tacos either.

I have a t-shirt from a certain liquor store in Beaver, CO.  I've never had the nerve to wear it in public, though.

I flew to Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage AK on a KC-10 tanker (and back) once (from SoCA, 1992).

I had heard so many stories over the years, I visited the Great American Bush Company.   Their claim to fame (as I recall) was women from all around the world.  It did not disappoint.

The sun didn't go down (for awhile) until about 2-3am; that was weird.

A story I heard while there was there were so many nuts riding their bikes around Anchorage all winter (some getting drunk and falling off and freezing to death), they finally outlawed MC riding over the coldest months.

I grew up in, and lived in Alaska 30 years or better. Never heard that story before. Alaskans are known for taking advantage and having a little fun with gullible Chechakos. I suspect that was case here.

I rode a Honda Elite 150 scooter one winter to work and back. Threw a rod in my S-10 and the garage took their sweet time replacing the motor. Couldn't afford the rental car after a month. You fine tune your riding skills doing 65 in a foot of fresh snow.  Smiley
