[/img]I got my hands on a 99 interstate that i am considering taking the time to part out instead of selling  as is in slightly blemished condition. Sale prices on whole bikes are really down right now. I wondered if anyone has done this? If so did it take a long time to sell the big pieces (tank, faring, hard Bags, trunk etc)

Any info would be greatly appreciated

I know of a fellow who learned that he could part out Valkyries and make money.
I got some parts from him on eBay. There was a little trouble with one part, I
corresponded with him... got his wife, who was helping with that part. After
parting out several bikes they were at wits end dealing with all the eBay
buyers, boxing and mailing and getting everything right... they  made some
money but quit doing it...

They would have parted out my Valkyrie  Smiley ... I'm glad I bought it instead...

I'll leave this up long enough for folks to read we don't promote parting out running Valkyries.
