Josh, what a difference. Had one problem, the holes for those little collars/barrels in the adapter were just a hair small. They wouldn't go in so had to slightly enlarge them just enough for those collars to fit. Other than that, went together fine. I'll bet they can see that light from the space station.  Grin

I'll be interested to see how the heat dissipates, hopefully no trouble with that. Still need to adjust the beam down a bit but the amount of light is tremendous.

I bought one in Taos. You can see the cages noticing you. Josh is a good guy with a good product.

Thanks for the report John.

I was looking into this as well,  but I have run a headlight modulator for years, and wonder about the

Compatability of a LED headlight and a modulator.

Not to stray off topic but I absolutely know, from of years of riding both with and without one that it is the single best thing I have done to increase my Conspicuity, yet I often wonder why more folks dont utilze this cheap form of Life insurance.

The last vehicle that almost  turned left in front of me was a blue-haired wideload '71 Chrysler New Yorker. I don't think the Hindenburg exploding in her direct line of sight would have gotton this one's attention though  Cool

Think she missed this critical information  on turn signals

You can not use a modulator with Josh's Eagle Light. I also bought one in Taos. Love it. Gonna get the 4 1/2" highway lights next month.

Got all my lights replaced with LEDs.  NO incandescents on Jade anymore.  The new fwd lights don't light the road as well as the hi-power mod I had - but they light it well enough - at the blue 6500K color.  And they use a lot less power preserving my alternator.  And they won't burn out in my lifetime.  Before I was using 250w to light up the road CLEARLY for a measured half mile.  Meaning a brown deer with a brown background would still be seen at that distance.  Now I'm using 130w to light up 5 fwd lights that are ALMOST as bright as before.  And now I should be even more visible to texters with 5 fwd lights.  I had both H4 halogen "spots" burn out on the Taos trip.  On Roanoke Inzane, my alternator failed and I almost didn't make it home.  But was able to shut off the fwd lights and my audio and made it back without repairs.

In this pic, the top 3 lights are all hi-lo headlights, bottom 2 std 4" LED spots w/o Halo.  The upper "spots" are those new H4 simulating LED bulbs I had given up on before because even with the thin emitters that closely emulate the tungsten filiments, they still provide an unsatisfactory beam pattern that doesn't match true H4's very well.  However my need has changed.  Now I run them on high beam with an empty road at night and all of them combined provides enough wildlife lighting.  In traffic I leave them on low and have a good pattern; don't get flashed.  If a potential turner is ahead, I hit the high beam sw and the top 3 go high (thx to my custom light control circuit).  You can't not see me.

I still like the look of the headlight with only 2 reflector emittors.  The Halo bar is a nice finish.

BTW Fitting the GENSSI Elite 4000L bulbs in the 4" pods was tight.  Fortunately my pods are the Drag Specialties elongated pods modelled on the 50BMG bullet.  Still I had to trim off some of the heat sink and shoehorn the pod closed with a bar clamp while fitting the screw.  Good thing I should never have to replace it - not gonna happen on a road trip.

Ever think maybe you are responsible for some of those low Western UFO sightings?   Grin
