It’s an ‘83, it has a plastic front fender, false tank sides and side covers.

I cobbled those same ammo can saddlebags onto my ‘82 Standard.
I miss that bike, but I don’t miss all the performance awards it got me.

That post with the old  Wings on the Touratech ride is nuts!

Talk about pushing a bike beyond what it was originally designed for.

On the other hand,   those old Wings are about the similar weight to a  BMW  GS..

If you put dirt tires on the bike and make sure the saddle bags and trunk are lashed down and don't shear off from bumps,   ground clearance and shock travel are about the only main concerns... and  lots of tip-over scratches.

Crazy video - I watched it a couple times.
