Even when I was a very young boy music grabbed me. I remember some songs had me boogie'n and attempting to croon along with the singer. I can distinctly remember this one being one of the songs that I really loved. An older sibling had it on a 45 and I think I almost wore it out.

It gave me goosebumps even tho I had no idea what a ferry or mersey was at the time!
R.I.P. Gerry, I think you'll love the place where you've arrived!

Gerry and the Pacemakers.
I believe that at one short point in their early careers their records were outselling the Beatles in England.
Strings included in their productions gave them a smooth sound to their recordings.
Another passage from we who were the youth of the 60's
Rest well, sir.
