Wet and chilly! After a dry spell the rain was welcomed relief but I have scarcely seen the sun the last few days and the forecast isn’t any better. The Farmers Almanac says we can expect a wet winter which for us can mean all forms of precipitation with freezing rain the most dastardly of them all.

As of now I’m holding off on giving up the thought of some short stints in the wind, although I passed up on many opportunities this fall. At the same time I should be thinking about Spring and prepping the bike for some more serious riding. I’m thinking it’s time to order some new rubber, especially for the rear. Probably time to change out brake and clutch fluids but with antilock and linked brakes I hope to buddy up with someone who has successfully accomplished that task a few times. It’s time to change the gear oil in the Henry’s final drive too. Since I have no idea how many miles are on the brake pads, I will probably change them out with the tires. At least I won’t get too bored this winter.
