55-watt H3 halogen bulb in a cobra light bar.

I tried doing a search on here and got some information. I have a light bar, pretty sure it's a Cobra brand. The light they put out is a yellow and not all that bright. I tried a set of LED bulbs that I found on a aftermarket motorcycle parts website. They were a nice bright white light but was kind of scattered. I went to the local parts store; they had either the yellow light 35 watt or 55-watt white light. I tried the 55-watt bulb, and it is definitely hotter just by feeling the light housing. I can't find a 35-watt white light bulb. Has anyone tried the 55-watt bulb over a period of time. My main concern would be wires drying out because of the temperature or over stressing the circuit.

The halogen 55 watt, 4.6 amps per bulb. Our alternator's, 55 amp. output. I went with 10 watt LED spots on top of the engine guards (train effect appearance) @ 1.7 amps. while wired thru the low beam circuit. Had a Bon S current bypass but it has failed. Maybe replace the Cobra housings with new LED housing's?
