Anyone ever had dealings with Dave's Cycle Supply in Tampa, FL?

http://www.davescyclesupply.com/

Found them on the internet.  Looking for some lights they might have that I haven't been able to find anywhere else (will know tomorrow if they can get them for me or not).  Can't order direct from them but they'll take an order over the phone and take your c/c info for the order.

They don't seem to have a store front, just internet.

Called and talked to Dave this afternoon.....sounds like an older gentleman and seems nice enough, but I'm leary of giving someone my c/c info over the phone without knowing anything about them.

Anyone here know of them, or ever had dealings with them before?

maybe one of them will help you out with a first hand look or knowledge.  I understand what you mean about the cc.

I know that there's a few folks on here that are from the Tampa - St Pete area and thought perhaps that know of them.

I have dealt with him a couple times, no problems, cheap parts example - Alternator brushes $2.75 ea, about a third of what the dealer charges. Here is his address.

Address;

I live in Tampa and wish they had a store to go into and browse!  Prices really seem decent.

Whenever I absolutely have to shop on line I go to Wally World and buy a Visa money card ( $ 3.00 ) and use it to pay for the item. I only put the amount needed on the card then cut it up after paying.

   Joe-go to your bank and see about a Gift Card. When my daughter was traveling in the summer that's what I got her. If lost or stolen it's almost like a credit card. RIDE SAFE.

My wife ordered from them a couple years ago.  I had given her the link for a Christmas present.  She said she had trouble getting off the phone.  Dave is quite a chatterbox.  Anyway, order was fine.  They had to ship in a couple boxes as it wasn't all on hand but all was here within two weeks.

Obvious Mom and Pop shop without a strong grasp of internet ordering.  They do a lot of shows and actually asked Sue which show we had seen them at.

One deal and all was well.

      1 out of 5 stars
This guy is 85 years old (2016) and did nothing but argue after I canceled my order because I was on the phone for 1.5 hrs trying to get a part ordered.
Save yourself some grief and spend the extra money and buy from someone that will actually help you get your parts

Dave Ferguson, and his Wife were on the GWRRA circuit, attending rallies as a vendor, for probably 25 years. Very well up in age now, he is off the road, and operating out of his home base. Dave can be a handful, depending on medication, but is basically an alright guy. Comes across as kind of matter-of-fact, but you need parts. You not looking for a stable mate. Just realize that he's been around for longer than most, worked hard all his life, and deserves the right to be "Grumpy" time to time!!
