Karen, as long as it is taken in good fun, then I agree.

When someone gets PO'ed about a comment, that is when I usually try to walk away.

Sometime that happens and then sometimes it doesn't, which usually ends up someone really gets mad, then the fur flies, cause neither one has enough sense to shut up.

After my tenure in the CHP, I've kind of gotten a little bit loose lipped and will speak my peace.

Apparently 'zyzzyva' is the last word in most dictionaries. It is a yellow weevil the size of an ant.
Anyone know how to pronounce it?

Not really cause I'd just butcher the crap out of it.

Moonshot_1 found it, let him give us the pronunciation of it.

I just said it out loud... did you all catch that?

Of course, being from England, tmfp's pronunciation is not likely to be the same.
You know, tomato - tomato, potato - potato, zyzzyva - zyzzyva

In rural Sicily any person or animal was considered vulnerable to the evil eye, and many individuals wore protective amulets or charms to nullify its effects.

... I talked about the evil eye

My wife's evil eye is very dangerous.   It is coming from a RED HEAD.
When she gives that, all the kids, grandkids, son/daughter-in-laws know it is time to SHUT UP.    She don't say much, but damn when she does you best be a listenin, as she does not repeat herself.   How I have managed to be married to her for as long as I have, is a pure God driven miracle.   LOL    cooldude

Carl has everyone beat for most time online.

We had that a long, long time ago... but some ppl would just post to get their count up... answering their own posts, etc.  It was pretty annoying to most ppl, so we decided not to do that again.

That said, you currently you lag Smokin' Joe by 958 posts.
Third place was rather surprising to me though... Fudgie with 5842 posts!

I guess you can't post sound files on the board.

Anyway, go here to hear the word zyzzyva.

Click on the little sound icon.

I want one of those boxes.     Give it to my Grandson so he would be occupied all day.    LOL......      Love him to death just like all my other grand kids, but he can be a pain.

Always in to something and loves to take things apart.    Figure he will make a good technician in what ever field he decides to go into.

Wonder why that no display.

That is weird, I can copy and paste the link and a nice green bike shows up, put it in a message and zilch.

I'll try something else here.
