A belief system which claims tolerance, but is itself a doctrine of absolute belief that all religions are ultimately equal, despite that this violates the law of non-contradiction. (Ironically, many people who espouse the COEXIST dogma also try to use the law of non-contradiction, by citing alleged contradictions in books such as the Quran or the Bible.)

Typically, believers in COEXIST will attempt to impose this belief on any systems which declare contrary absolute doctrine, such as conservative Christians and Muslims. Also, most COEXIST believers do not consciously realize the illogic and self-contradiction in an absolute belief which declares there are no absolute beliefs.

Robert, there are many COEXIST bumper sticks out there (I just looked), and I concur in your post.

But this particular COEXIST sticker, uses gunmakers to form the word.  So I think the message may be a bit different.  Not that I think the hoplophobes are willing to coexist with my way of thinking, and I have no compromise left in me.

My idea of 2dA coexist is.....leave me alone and I won't shoot you.

FWIW, as much as I support NRA GOA and any other gun rights orgs (in spirit and with money), I will not put any sticker on my cages simply because there is almost always a firearm in them, and I do not like to advertise that possibility to anyone..... esp scumbag thieves.

From Wiki.   Smiley
Firearms authority and writer Jeff Cooper claims to have coined the word in 1962 to describe what he called a "mental aberration consisting of an unreasoning terror of gadgetry, specifically, weapons."[7] The term was constructed from the Greek ὅπλον - hoplon, meaning amongst others "arms,"[8] and φόβος - phobos, meaning "fear."[9] Although not a mental health professional, Cooper employed the term as an alternative to other slang terms, stating: "We read of 'gun grabbers' and 'anti-gun nuts' but these slang terms do not [explain this behavior]." Cooper attributed this behavior to an irrational fear of firearms and other forms of weaponry. Cooper's opinion was that "the most common manifestation of hoplophobia is the idea that instruments possess a will of their own, apart from that of their user."[7] Writing in an opinion piece, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review columnist Dimitri Vassilaros asserted that the term was intended by Cooper as tongue-in-cheek to mock those who think guns have free will.

Yes....they deserve to be mocked.

I felt the same way too. but there come a time when we have to stop being silent. I want to be heard. too many people think the gun toting crowd is overstated because we are silent for the most part.

Of course I agree with you Jeff.   cooldude

My decision is purely in my own self interest.

And I live in an extremely urban, left wing territory with plenty of thieves, only 17 miles South of Sodom on the Potomac.

I must admit that is a Coexist sticker that I can live with  cooldude cooldude cooldude But if I can suggest another one with all the gun makers on it and the US flag and some thing to represent liberals, conservatives or maybe both parties. Now that would be a real coexist sticker. Grin

I'll go with the assumption that you're serious. If so, "Coexist" stickers have become popular among the new age types, and they go something like this:

I think they're installed at the factory on Prius'....

Jeff has found a slightly different take on the same theme...

Here's another one that's a slight twist on the original theme:
