I've wanted a helmet that connects to bluetooth, has GPS integrated for trips, and has a rearview display. This helmet company is out of San Francisco, although their product is not available yet, seems like a neat piece of equipment. I'm looking forward to possibly being able to get one:

I started this post awhile back... I decided over a year ago that I would wait and see what happens when I tried to ask questions about their product and they never responded. https://techcrunch.com/2016/07/26/once-promising-ar-motorcycle-helmet-startup-skully-has-crashed-and-burned/Too bad for the investors and people waiting on what they pre-ordered. There's another company, Intelligent Cranium Helmets out of Northern Virginia that has answered every question I ever had within a day. I have high hopes for this company and I went ahead and pre-ordered.

The HUD style GPS is pretty cool... and Bluetooth for the tunes would be welcomed. But, a rear view camera??? WHY??
Mirrors are much cheaper, especially since they come on the bike when you buy it.

Mirrors on cruisers and dual purpose bikes work well. Sport bike mirrors are so close to the bike, all they are good for is seeing what is beside you. If you aim them to see behind you, all you see is your shoulders and arms. Lots of sport bike riders would like to be able to see behind them.

I had a guy send me a link on this helmet back in either 2012 or 13 and it has not made it to market yet. Could be trouble.

You may have missed it: two weeks the 2 founders were let go by the board. This week, it has been declared that Skully has gone out of business and has closed its doors. According to the 'net, up to 3,000 Kickstart investors / pre-order buyers are let in the lurch and may not even get a dime back. The joys of Kickstarter. IMHO, as person who has been on Bluetooth since gen1.5 (2009), and Bluetooth GPS since then as well, I wouldn't go for helmet-integrated systems. The tech changes, and you change helmets too, and being fixed to either one at that cost doesn't make sense. Sure, I only upgrade my helmets every 5 years or so and my GPS / Bluetooth system as well, but with integrated the upgrades are stuck together, you cannot change one system if it really needs it. First I upgraded my helmet, then I decided that a Bluetooth upgrade would be nice as I wanted more abilities, then finally upgraded my GPS - all on sale, at that.

Just what I want on a long, peaceful, beautiful ride all that noise and crap. I ride to get away from it now I want it in my helmet, not really. It may have its place and the camera may be good, "but".
