Just a few weeks of polishing that chrome and good as new?  well maybe??

Am sure someone can get 400 bucks worth of parts off of it easily enough.

Either that or was dug out of a roadside snow bank after being there for a year or so.

That's what I see, which is why I see it as a parts bike. Momz can feel free to buy and rebuild it.

Bernhards Bay is a long way from saltwater. But, who knows what the history is or where this thing came from. Oneida Lake does have its flooding issues. That thing sure looks like it has been treated miserably.

Maybe in a snow plowed bank, with snow salt and grit, froze and thawed a few times before it came out of the snow bank.  That's my story.....unless of course it was recovered from a Jersey salt water flood and salvaged.

Being the inquisitive kind.....I sent an email asking what happened to this poor thing.  His response was..."Rode hard, put up wet".  But I'm betting it was snow and salt slush wet...    I now believe it is one of the left over parts bikes from JamminJohn1 last year or so ago.

Just got off the phone with Jammin John.

Very cool dude. cooldude cooldude

He has two Valks and has hit three deer.

The one in the picture is a Tourer with a Interstate tank on it . He already sold the tank.

He also has an assortment of parts.

Both Valks have salvage titles.

Any one interested, shoot me a PM and I'll give you his number.

Ahhhh yes, I believe Dogg and I (and maybe others) were both interested in those bikes last year about this time of year.  And the tank was sold back then, so no telling if those pics are even current or if they are in even worse condition.  Never met him, and he may very well be a cool dude, especially at this time of year, but based on my emails with him, and the pictures I saw back then, He wasn't very flexible in his pricing for mostly what was pictured as salvaged titled Junk.  I got the impression he believed he was sitting on a gold mine.....and he obviously is still sitting on it.  I'm thinking, if I remember correctly, that I made a 2k offer for the lot of his stuff....which was declined.

Yeah, I believe he has gotten some education on what stuff is worth as he stated the motors are not worth much because no one needs them, they run FOREVER.

I didn't really discuss pricing with him as when I found out the titles were Salvage, I lost interest.

We did spend about a hour just BSing about bikes, hitting deer and life.

Am with OSS on this one. Wonder if it was close enough to the coast to get dunked when Sandy passed by.

Nope, he's near Lake Oneida, above Syracuse.  Closer to Lake Ontario than the Atlantic.  He stated something about salty roads and lack of cleaning.  That and it sat for a while as a parts bike.
