4 of us did a 300 mile dash around parts of SC and NE GA yesterday.

Clear blue skies and about a max of 60F

Took a few U turn roads - we were in  new territory. One led us to a boat ramp by Yonah Dam.

I got in a little over 2 hunnert miles yesterday and met a very nice N.C. State Trooper......It happens to be unlawful in N.C. to pass a car in a no passing zone no matter how slow the car is going. Who woulda thunk it?????

Been there done that in NC too. Blue Ridge Parkway.

Car ahead doing 25mph for about 10,000 miles. Grrrr. Long straight and safe. No side turns, overlooks etc.

On the Skyline Drive up here it is only posted 35, yet not uncommon to get behind a Winnebago doing 8 knots, for a long time (and they won't pull off into any of a hundred overlooks).  You get caught doing an easy/gentle/super safe two second pass over the yellow, the Park Police give a reckless driving for it.  

Moral:  Don't get caught.

When the ride for the fallen went up the Blue Ridge we had pedal bikers going 4 and 5 wide in front of our mucho faster rides. And to all ya'll that already put yer Phatt Ghurls into hibernation-I got in a very nice and brisk-56 miles today.  AND I only need 638 more miles to join the 100 G club!  RIDE SAFE.

We were cleaning up the garage and putting up the Christmas decorations yesterday when my wife mentioned that it had gotten up to 40 degrees.  That's enough for a quick 40 mile run.  It felt a little chilly but great.  We have had a load of crappy weather in SW Ohio this fall!
