Ha.....

Yeah, I'd rather not have that funky front section that wraps around the forks but whatever........

It's a fair trade.  I absolutely hate the Goldwing/F6B fairing from the rider's perspective which is why I never bought one.  It looks like the dash out of a 1980's Toyota to me.

So now I have a funky bike that at least I like the view from the saddle.  Which is where I spend most of the time when looking at it.

Seriously though, it is kind of ugly.  Oh well.  Still better than owning a two valve lifestyle accessory.

The new Valk is not ugly! It is different, but not ugly.

If you feel somewhat ambivalent about it,....have a few cocktails, then look again.  cooldude

Happy thoughts.

I think a lot of this has to do with the presentation. If they sold the new Valk the way they did with the original, then and maybe they would have had us all.

Let's face it, that original tv commercial of the phat girl dirt tracking thru the desert...made us all say...I need one of THOSE!!! cooldude Cheesy

Imagine, a new commercial, starting with the old one and then watching the original morph into the new valk while dirt tracking thru the desert...

IMHO, they need to accent it better...Bumble Bee, Green and Silver, Red and white...all the angles of the bike need to say LOOK AT ME instead trying to hide it all in Mono Paint...if you have the balls to make it...then have the balls to sell it the right way! Mono paint in most cases is dull...

Flame suit is on...and beer is in hand... coolsmiley

I'm trying to imagine one two tone.....

I never thought of that since I always just buy the plain black color scheme no matter what color they make it in.

The real original Valkyrie said "look at me and my big chromed hot rod engine with six carb/intakes for all the world to see."  cooldude
New Goldwing Valkyrie says "look at me and my two big radiators with even bigger plastic frames and painted valve covers."  Cry
this is what Honda thinks of its customers, not much IMO

The Goldwing Valkyries are ALL two tone.  Red and flat black, Blue and flat black, Black and flat black.

I think the body panels that are painted are too shallow to show-off a two tone scheme.  I think a little less than half the bike is painted to begin with.

The more I see the new Valkyrie the more I like it. But for me the F6B was the new bike for me.

Just remember when making your "ugly" comments that we are an ever decreasing member group here. The new 1800 riders that are reading this and making decisions as to whether to be a member or stay a member, are possibly making decisions based on our comments about their new bike.

It's a forum for discussions.  If you think something is ugly say it's ugly.  Without opinions and point of views of others we all just walk in circles with the same idea.

I'm all for someone's input regardless of if it's positive or negative.  If you're that sensitive that people's comments on the internet hurt your feelings, the internet is not the place for you.

I own a new Valkyrie and said I think it's ugly.  I can do that.  It's mine.

I bet to differ good sir.  I don't count "black plastic" as part of a "two tone" bike.  But that's just me.  I'll never admit I own a two tone black Valkyrie.  Never!
P.S. This is a joke to all who may be confused

Thanks to the marvels of modern technology I get an automatic response when someone has responded to a thread I too have previously responded to.

My choosing to read said response and make a further written response is MY CHOICE.

If YOU don't like that f off.

The thread is titled "Motorcyclist Mag".

Maybe your specific physcic powers are so well developed that YOU immediately knew the subject matter?

Yeah, we did get off topic which frequently happens.

I'll take the blame for that one.  My bad everyone.
