Got the hell on the road last week  , all leather , racing pants  the full meal deal on my screamin Fat Lady. Overcast but in the 40's --felt like an Alfa Knight,  sometimes i like riding alone -- then ya don't always have to worry about the other rider.
Was in a little more forward riding position than normal as the temps were in fortys.  Helmet with visor down.
Most snow was almost gone, no water on my 120 mile canyon ride -- checked it out earlier in the week.  Had a blast  ,  rode her hard -- she wanted it.  Saw maybe 10 cars whole trip and surprised  to have passed 2 troopers ,  barreling 5 mph over up a canyon  no turnaround-cool.

The helmet was substandard for my as pristine as you can get setup. -- have to clean the helmet.  I like my Fatgirl and support gear OPTIMAL.

Cleaned my helmet ;

took it all apart
took a micro fiber  with hot water and  mild hand-soap and worked in
squeazed out water
washed all parts visor  first then other parts.
rinsed and did again
then took 2nd microfbire towel and rinsed in hot water  and washed again.

Let dry
no treatment on visor
3rd microfiber -    rub  polish on exterior helmet.

came out like new.

Riding and making it home is so satsifiying  cheating death and destruction-- that's WHY I RIDE .

ride safe,W

Hey, weeder - do you know the Davis' in Gillette?

Family friends, they owned the Cadillac dealership there (Davis Cadillac), used to hunt on their ranch. Good memories, shootin prairie dogs & such...
One of Wayne's (3) boys was running the bidness. I rolled through there last August.
I just told my dad that the dealership had closed. He was surprised....

Just thought you may know them - it used to be a small town....

See ya down the road, maybe....

Hey Gig  , no didn't know the Davis clan .  The dealership got bought up and  then the coal boom in the 90's all the dealerships moved up on the Interstate on the west side of town  -- big is better ya know.

I like it here -- clean air - no rifraf,  open roads you have to yourself  and just coal miners, oil/gas workers and railroad.  And people in Wyoming mind there own business and don't want others meddling in theres.

Next time your around send me a pm  with your fone number and Ill have you over for a ribeye BBQ and a cold beer.
