It was above freezing and mostly sunny with a nice breeze coming down the river today when I started the Valkyrie and rode up 9A then down the curves to the river

Hardly any cars out as I cruised up to the Annsville Circle and started my first pass up the goat trail toward the Bear Mtn Bridge

I had decided that I would pull off at the overlook and turn around for another pass but just before the overlook had to stop for traffic WTF

As I got into the overlook area I could see there had been an accident just past the next turn and now a trooper was turning traffic around.

My reverie broken I headed back down past the army base and back towards Ossining.

Did not quite hit triple digits as the wind was bodacious just where I happened to be but I did clear out the cobwebs both in the bike and my own head

Saw one other lunatic out on a motorcycle and gave him a wave and got a very animated wave in return

Had to run the left turn light as DOT STILL has not fixed the sensors to pick up a bike, even one with one of those red light changer magnets underneath the engine.

But how sweet it is to have the highways to myself and just dig on the sound of the Valkyrie engine at 4000 rpm.

Merry Christmas my friends, hope Santa got you all that safety chrome or whatever it is you wished for

DAMMMM, I am happy you guys had good rides but would you please tell the people they have to come back home, the roads were so crowded down here it was a pain. Oss someday I want to do that ride with you along the Hudson I have sailed down it and driven it but I want to do it on a bike around October when the leaves start to turn.

Come on up for Memorial Day weekend. The pow wow is in the Hudson valley this year. Will be hitting Orange County choppers along with some other states.
