Inline 6, top heavy, and not very nimble like many rides of that era. I never found the top end because it would get the shakes just north of 120MPH. I didn't keep it very long.

had one  kz1300  about 1982-3 brand new..top heavy handled slow  but ran great on trips  and  around town ,fun to play with had it to 130 once that was pretty scarrry front got light...some one stole it and never got recovered...the 1972 3 cyl H2 750 I had  would out run it in the  quarter mile.would like to have another one to tinker with.

I have a 1979 KZ1300 in my garage I bought new in 1979. With fairing and lowers and luggage rack with backrest. Currently has about 50,000 miles on it.

Top speed of the bare bike is 141 mph.

I personally like the way they ride and drive. They are big and fast and make a good touring bike for one up or two up.

I kinda semi retired the bike as I have others to ride. But kept it because I always liked it.

Benelli was the first production 6 cylinder from that era.

I thought the KZ1300 was kinda cool.  I would have bought one if it came with a dump bed.  Cheesy
