Matt there are folks that are flying in to this gathering every year. It would be nice to ride but you gotta due what you gotta due to get there. No one will judge you for flying in. Last year we went in my wife's minivan because of the weather. Had just as good of time as getting there on the bike. I doubt that there is a better back yard BBQ in the world. These folks know how to put it on! Buy a weekend plane ticket and come be a FOOL! Man that would work if I could get the time off, I work solo every Friday and Saturday nights at this point and they are not willing (or able) to offer any relief in the foreseeable future. Thanks, it was a good idea normally speaking. |

Anyone want to cart me around? I just snapped at work last Friday. I and headed to Dr tomorrow morning fingers crossed that she will give me some stress relief time and if she does the I can probably pull the cSh to get me a plane ticket.
Actually I don't need anyone to extend them selves just make sure I get to a safe place for sleep I think? LOL!!!

I sure wanted to make it this year. And I hate to leak out in a public forum. But you asked for attendance to be posted here. The wifal unit has a trip at about the same time, and I have to hold down the fort as well as build exhaust systems; working to minimize my customers' down time.

Well,
Teryl and I are excited to make this trip. It will be a special one for us. You see... the first trip we made together was back in 2012 to Austin. (we just started dating) This was a trip that was pretty emotional for me. It was to celebrate the life of our dear friend LaserPat and on the way back my uncle passed from colon cancer. Teryl never rode more than 40 miles prior to this trip and she rode back to Topeka,Ks that sunday. Fast forward 3 yrs and... now married this will be her second long trip and first as husband and wife!
We are departing Topeka, Ks thursday afternoon and will stay in Joplin. Then we will pass through Arkansas and Louisiana and will find our way to the Super 8 that evening. Thursday can't come fast enough!!!!
