The new Tesla P85D has Regular, Sport and... Insane modes...

In insane mode, 0-60 in low 3 second, and totally silent, no revving up to warn you just... ZOOOOOM.

I want... I want badly...

(At $135,000 I won't be getting one any time soon, but give it time...)

With a lifetime of exhaust note associated with hard (V8) acceleration, pure quiet seems like a bit of a letdown.

However, what is also missing is the usual hookup-traction tire to pavement squawk or squeal you would normally expect.  That thing just hooks up instantly and goes.

Have you ever raced an electric powered go cart?  No lag, just instant power and instant go.  Just drive train and tire noise.  Serious fun.   cooldude

But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

The only Tesla I've had a close look at is an older roadster owned by a fella further down the island. Its a neat little car.

Electric and steam are great power perfectly suited for auto use.
