I'm trying to decide if I should make rude comments about someone being so OCD that they would still have a 1979 phone book or the fact that your uncle is still living lost in 1979...but...
OK good luck finding what you're looking for, are you actually looking for the uncle or just his old phone number? have you tried some simple net searches? I was recently surprised to find a bunch of old family "want ads" placed by my father and grandfather back in the early 50's. I guess some of the old newspapers are now up in the "cloud".
