Yeah - I mean, here we are posting instead of watching the poor rehash of Katy Perry songs.

Not a big Katy Perry fan or anything, but I thought the show was pretty decent. Good production value, great sound and visuals. I liked the moving projected floor and the fireworks were appropriately timed.

I'm just glad I didn't pay to watch it.    Katie Perry isn't much of a vocalist IMHO.    Obviously I'm not within the intended audience they were trying to impress.

The audio kinda sucked IMO, but was probably for those in attendance there.  I was hoping for a wardrobe malfunction for Katie.....but that didn't happen....

I enjoyed it.

Didn't understand why Kravitz was there for a nano second.

Missy Elliot was like watching Janet Jacklson wihout the talent.

Game was good.

TV ads were crap. Bunch of mainly politically correct, namby pamby tosh.

I ignored the whole game until about the last 3 minutes. Sounds like I didn't miss anything at halftime either. I'd love to have the bonus money, either one....winner's or loser's.

Yah, missy elliott rapper crap sucked, the rest was decent.  I liked the round smiley balls and dancing sharks and katie bouncing around a few times in that polka dot dress.  Not madonna or beyonce, but was decent overall.

great game,  glad patriots won, they deserved it more than the hawks did only tossing up 3-4 long balls to get them in the game is about it.  Plus,  darn hawks scored 2 seconds before 1/2 to make me loose the halftime football pool I was in, so rooted for patriots after 1/2.

Just shows you how cocky and whinney/arrogant the hawks can be when they were going to loose at the end.  Loved Gronk getting in an after shot after #51 for hawks got ejected at the end for throwing a heat shot punch.    To come back from 24-14 is always something I knew Brady is capable of doing.

yah, stupid call not to run lynch 3x's from 1 yard line to win the game.  He can get easily 1 yard in 3 attempts.

what a lucky catch as well by hawks WR getting lucky once again coming up with that deflected ball down at the 5 yard line.

Never count Brady out is truly now the #1 dynasty team right up there with the former Steelers, Cowboys, and Niners of years ago in 70's/80's.  They don't have a bunch of loud mouths and play very well with no great SUPER stars on the team.

I still think #21 on defense for patriots deserved to get the MVP over Brady and win the chevy colorado truck since his interception won the game for them, not Brady with his 2 interceptions.

Probably the most sage comment in this whole thread... Sad

Still, halftime was quite the spectacle and I agree either Katy Perry's voice was off or the audio quality wasn't there.

As a Panthers fan I was hoping both teams would lose...

But, I'll say it again with my usual lack of enthusiasm... You're at the two minute warning and you need a touchdown.  Who do you want as your quarterback?

I enjoyed the whole game, half-time show included.  I have to admire Katy Perry floating above the field and singing without a hitch.  I don't think she's ever claimed to be an outstanding singer, and for pop entertainment she's pretty good.  The stuff going on around her was fun to watch too.  I had no idea who Missy Elliot was before the show, and won't be searching her music on YouTube later.  The only thing I didn't like were the anthems at the beginning, particularly The Star-Spangled Banner.  The singer's job should be leading the crowd in singing it together, not providing a solo diva performance where everyone who wants to sing is trying to guess the when and how fast the next word is going to be sung.

Because we had my son's birthday party during the first half of the game, I recorded and watched the whole game using my PVR.  I think that's the best way to watch TV football.  As soon as the play ends, I hit the skip forward button and it shows the next play just before the snap.  If they happen to line up a little quicker than expected, I just skip back 15 seconds.  Talking heads, gone.  Commercials, gone.

Thumbs Up on that cooldude I am a purist when it comes to my country's Anthem.  Don't need it country-fied, rock-fied, or rap-fied.  But I do enjoy a operatic rendition by a gifted performer.

No Thumbs Down smiley, but I would have used one.  Besides being one of the great American TV events you had two of the best broadcasters in the game right now calling this one.  And, good or bad, I'm also a BIG Super Bowl Commercials fan.

Well, if you're ever in Calgary at Super Bowl time, we can watch the whole thing at my place together, commercials, commentators, and everything.  You can educate me on the finer points of broadcasting.  Cool

I agree the Anthem should be sung traditionally.

People who sing it their way, are making it about themselves, not about the Country.

When they sing it their way, it's like hanging the flag upside down, and sometimes it's so bad it's like burning the flag.

I'm not much of a fan of halftime shows (and would prefer top college marching bands, as long as they don't screw up the field).  I've seen them use so much pyrotechnics that you can't see the 3rd quarter.

And when it costs $10,000 for a ticket, everyone should get a BJ at halftime (but it is a family show, so I suppose that's a bad idea).

Inappropriate maybe, but I think it's an excellent idea.  I'd like to have some say in who performs the act though.

I watch for the game.

Yeah, and I get Playboy just for the articles in it.  laugh

I like the idea of a college band performing at the SuperBowl halftime.
Find a way to have a band contest during the football season and the winner plays the Bowl.
Would breathe a lot of life into struggling music programs around the country. Even have the NFL kick in some incentive bucks for band programs at all levels.

I don't know how teenage teeny boppers fit into the NFL's demographic. Perhaps it is the advertisers that want that demographic.

Thought the Skittles commercial with the "we're gonna settle this the usual way" was pretty funny. The dog with the buffed up right leg was hilarious.
And the Dodge commercial with the 100 year old folks was neat too.
