Gotta love the grandkids………..

I was eating breakfast with my 10 year old granddaughter and I asked her “What day is tomorrow?”

Without skipping a beat she said “It’s Presidents Day”.
She’s pretty smart so I asked her “What does Presidents Day mean?”

I was waiting for something about Obama, Bush, Reagan or George Washington.

She replied, “Presidents Day is when the President steps out of the White House,
And if he sees his shadow, we have another year of Bull crap.”

You know…..it really hurts when hot coffee spurts out of your nose.

2funny  Isn't it the truth!  Ya know what I liked about my grand kids when they were little? (all in their 20s now) I got even with their mother (my daughter) and would give them a piece of a candy bar (Snickers usually) and a small glass of Coke  just before their mother came to pick em up!

Love the coke and candy bar thing. I recall many years ago I was with my eldest daughter and her youngest son, now 28, in a local WalMart. His birthday was coming up so I asked if I could take him to the toy aisle, she assured me it was OK. He was about 1 1/2 yrs. old and as active as any little guy could be. So just to be ornery, I picked up this little pull toy airplane for him to try and he loved it. As you pulled it, the little prop would spin and the insides made a popping noise....quite loudly. And inside th canopy you could see little balls popping up/down with the noise. He was running up/down the aisle pulling that airplane when his mother showed up. For the next 15 minutes she tried to get him interested in something else, to no avail. After a few glares from "mom" she gave up and I just smiled to myself. While there I bought a small squeeze horn for the next oldest son to put on his little bike with training wheels.

I had to leave the next day but heard about all the noisy toys for the next six months. Paybacks are so much fun, makes me wish I lived closer to my great grandkids. I'm sure I could find something for them as well.  Evil

I used to love giving the grand kids noise makers and things that had to be put together for Christmas. The put together things had to have at least 100 parts.    Evil

The two best payback gifts ever are whistles and a drum set.   tickedoff

I have a two year old granddaughter who is a joy.  Our daughter is expecting our first grandson to be delivered June 5th.  Sure hope he's on time because I'm heading to Inzane on the 6th.
