The Norman Petty studio where the famous Cricket sound came from is just a few miles away from the house.

What's the big secret with your special day?

Yep, the crash was on the 3rd. Beech Bonanza is great airplane. Too bad they had a young inexperienced pilot.

Fort Walton Beach, Florida I'm a simple man, I like pretty, dark haired woman and breakfast food.

I was three years old in 1956.

At about 5 or 6 years old, I discovered my older brother's 45's of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, The Everly Brothers and others.

I still have a lot of those old 45's in a box somewhere.

I was 24 when the plane went down.

About 8 of us from DSM were supposed to go up to the dance and listen to their music that night.

The group started backing out like flies, so 3 of us said well, we no go.

Have wished ever since that we would have made the trek up there.

It is only like 120 miles up there from here.

Went to a lot of dances there.    Nice place.

It still stands, don't know if it is still operational or not, we have not been up there since the crash.
