on Velocity network.
Anyone heard of it? I caught the tail end tonight and is about cycles being built, mostly crotch rockets, old school styling.
Maybe they can put a Valk motor in a cafe racer if the fans request it?

Yeah, I've been catching it when I come across the repeats on the weekend. I like the show. Mostly Cafe style racers, which I guess is the point behind the title. Some very creative and skilled work. A nice change from the usual chopper fare.

Last night's show there were two builds. One was an 82 Katana with a Bandit motor and the other was a restoration of a Kawasaki KZ1300. The KZ1300 was a watercooled six cylinder now owned by Drag racer, Rickey Gadsen (his dads old bike).
Naked Speed is an interesting show for "Gearheads", and so much better than "American Chopper".

I haven't seen the show yet (need to keep an eye out for it), is it like a "build off" type show, like Indian Larry vs Jesse James, and different players every episodes? Or is there a dysfunctional family like the Tuttles?

There are no awards or trophys, just recognition of the quality of the build.

I watched one of the shows. I enjoyed it, except for the segment where a builder purchased a Ducati for $3000 and proceeded to invest another $150,000 with high tech racing parts. That was completely reduclious...

Any show about motorcycles is good.
This show is different, no competition, no family drama, just guys that like to build custom one off bikes in the cafe style.
I liked the shows, but they could use less emotional stuff & repeat info shots and show more build detail.
Still, worth the time invested.

I like the show. The episode with the Norton brought back memories of my 850 Commando.

I believe this has been a topic before and I'm not so sure I didn't post about it, but I really like this show. http://www.velocity.com/naked-speed/

Sorry BF, that is why I thru in the subject 'TV show' figuring if I just said 'naked speed' it would get all kinds of hits and true disappointment. I was watching the show today caught the tail end re-doing a ducati sport bike and taking it on the bonneville salt flats hoping to hit 200 mph. It got to 154 mph I believe. No thanks, too fast for me. Doubt I would have the nerve to go much over 120 mph, even on the mighty Valkyrie.
