It's a Sony 16.2 mp. The new card is a 128gb. It will hold 21,699 pics at highest resolution.  Cheesy

When I was a kid, the biggest roll of film you could buy was 36 pics. All I can say is wow, cameras have come a long way. I'll be dead before this card fills up.  Smiley

You do know the old saying, that there are only 2 types of electronics. Those that have failed and those that are going to fail. Besides, the computer format that you are now using will be outdated in 54321

If you have any grand kids or kids 7 or under just let them hold the camera. It seems these youngn's have been taught you just push and hold the button down. Every time my 6 year old grand daughter takes a picture I have 40 to 100 to delete.

Does this camera do video? My grandson's Gopro will make a 20 gig movie real easy. Your card could be full in 6 or 7 good long movies.

A dying-if-not-dead industry related to this - the photo developing service.

How many digital photos do we take today that never make it onto paper - only existing as 1s and 0s?

Back up those photos once you download them, folks!  One electronic glitch and they're gone...

I always download my pics and delete all the files from the card pretty much
every time I take pictures... then they're on my computer and the card
is always empty... before long, when I backup my computer, they're there too...

Put all my pictures on an external hard drive and delete everything off the SD as hubcap stated.

It is a class 10 card. The camera transfers pics via WiFi.  cooldude

I try to transfer the pics to my comp and backup drive once a month. I put them in monthly folders. I never delete them from the camera because I gots plenty of room. Since I'm not a porn photographer I'm not worried about losing it and somebody getting my valuable shots.

I've got digital pics going back to 1997 taken with a Kodak DC120. Now that's an ancient camera. Got pics of the kids when they were babbies and toddlers.

I find that a 16 or 32 gb (even if 64 gb if shooting video) is fine for just pics and tons cheaper as well to purchase.

Like said,  backup to PC then to external hard drive or CD/DVD (hard copy) and then just delete off the memory card, thus probably never needing anything more than 64gb card even with shooting videos.    128gb card is overkill for most unless you just leave all your eggs in one basket on the sd card.

Pretty neat you can from camera/sd card go via wi-fi and transfer pics, I don't have that feature have to use the plug-in wire which is fine for my needs.
