Howdy and how do:

Just tipping my lid and say'n hello.  I sold my Valkyrie a few years back.  My GF has been mad at me since I did it.

So, with great anticipation, I look forward to fixing that mistake this weekend.  And and shiny Valkyrie Interstate is destined for a place of honor in my stable.  It is slated to join the Vmax, the Triumph Tiger and the Moto Guzzi Ambassador.  I'm definately looking forward to the return of comfort to my life on the road.

The trailer is hooked up and I'm about to head out for my rendezvous.  Been reading the Tech section and I owe many thanks for the growing list of must haves and must do's.

Keep the shiney sides up.

Congrats!  Where in Houston?  I'm in Clear Lake, and am into most all repairs myself...

I'm in SW Houston ... so Clear Lake is just up the road.  We need to ride sometime.

There's a great group of Valk riders in the Houston area.

Be sure to come to the Gathering of the Fools in April - http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,75177.0.html.  2nd largest gathering of Valkyrie riders in the USA right there in Friendswood.

Been a long time, Dred.  I've wondered what happened to you .....

Glad to see you here.   Be sure to check in on the Texas board as well.

The Houston group gets together officially but informally on the third Thursday of the month.  We meet/eat at Ninfa's on the Gulf Freeway (around Monroe, I believe).

The VRCC is a family oriented group, so bring the GF and come join us.  Ride or drive anything you like, we aren't picky!  Especially in wet or winter weather.

Rainmaker ... GOTF is pretty much a sure thing ... Based on the name, it feels like y'all musta knew I was gonna show eventually.

Lyn-Del ... I don't recognize you're name, but I'm bet'n I know who I'm typing at ... glad to be back and I'll be round to some of the gatherings.

And ... update ... I survived DFW yesterday.  Snow and Ice in Texas is JUST WRONG.  And, Booty is almost home.  I'm looking forward to actually test riding her in a couple hours when I get the trailer offloaded.  I'm guessing some of the Dallas folks knew her as Wally ... since I got a framed VRCC Patch with the booty.

The short:  she's a black '99 IS with chrome balls, center stand, receiver hitch, bag and top box racks, bag and top box guards, guages, all manner of add on wind deflectors, studded seat, ultimate seat, bike jack and more.  Oh, and she's currently darksided.

Howdy Dred, I'm in Pearland and ride all year round.  Hope you can make it to the GOTF and meet some of the best people in the motorcycle world.  Guess you got out of Valk before I got in it, but LynDen has been in Valks for a long time.
Hope to meet you soon!

Unless I've confused you with another Dred (how many are there?) you rode a green and silver I/S when we met.

Howdy Lyn-Del,

I was right ... it's you.  Good to catch up ... I was actually gonna hunt you down.  Left and Icebox say howdy too.  And, I was all manner of ready to try wheel'n and deal'n an IS from your stable.  Met a gentleman that knew you in Manvel when I considered bringing his IS home last week.  Filled the IS hole, but might still be chasing that Corbin I was chasing years back.  Booty is my only post 1971 bike not sport'n a Corbin ... yet.  I've got an Ultimate to try out ... but it feels too soft for the kinda miles I've got planned, so think about trading.  Good to catch up and ... we must ride.

Rolled Booty off the trailer this morning and succeeded in getting her started.  Yes, I bought her on faith.  Her battery was deader than dead and the battery I carried up was too big to fit in the IS.  She runs like a dream, but she wasn't charging for squat.  I'll drop the alternator off at my rebuild shop in Manvel tomorrow 'cause I AM riding her to meeting on Thursday ... yes, we still meet first Thursdays.

I guess Lyn-Del is the only person out here that knows I ride with Gypsy MC, and sharing is caring so now all y'all still reading know too.

I have Ultimate seats on my Gold Wing and the Rune (you remember the Rune, surely) and love them.  Tried every possible Ultimate on my I/S, hated every one.  As far as the Valkyries go, I have a stock butt that loves the stock seats.  TMI?

Someone asked me just the other day if I knew where Pleak was, and I shocked the heck out of him by saying yes.  Lost track of you guys when you moved from there.  Used to run into DQ occasionally, but the restaurant we saw each other at closed.  I miss the food and the folks!

It's been far too long.

Old Trading Post in Booth ... 730 Thursday or any first Thursday.

Funny that re:  DQ.  She and Speed Racer got married a few years ago.  Pulled Booty's alternator with Speed in their garage this afternon.  I'll have Booty rolling for Thursday.
