Dear Mr. Hamilton:

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the regulation of sporting ammunition.

I share your concerns with many of the policies and regulatory actions of the current administration. On February 27, 2015, I sent a letter to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) expressing my deep concerns regarding the ATF proposal to reclassify SS109 and M855 “green tip” ammunition. This proposed framework misapplies the intended use test under the “sporting purposes” exemption included in the Law Enforcement Officers Protection Act of 1985. I believe these changes would harm law-abiding gun owners and ammunition manufacturers, and would set a precedent that could lead to unnecessary regulation of almost all other classifications of ammunition.

I remain committed to ensuring that the federal government plays no role in any misguided gun control initiatives involving the ability of law-abiding citizens to legally purchase and use firearms. I will continue to work to protect the Second Amendment rights of citizens to keep and bear arms, and I will oppose any effort that threatens that important Constitutional right.

Having the benefit of your views is important to me. I appreciate your taking the time to write.

Sincerely,

THAD COCHRAN
United States Senator

Keep on buying ammo for your Regime Change Rifle.  I'm wondering if we will make it to the next regime peacefully or if the dirtbag wants to cause 1776 Part Deux.

I had always wondered how Hilter BS so many people and now I see we have one with the same ability to do it. I can see things aren't looking good for the working class people and retired working class people. I saw a sign which made sense. I see the government making plans on how to disarm the law abiding citizens, but no plans how to do the same with the criminals.

Ah, but by the time they get around to it in a big way...... we'll all be criminals.

I am glad to see his opinion, but dammit, do something about it.  I wrote a letter?  Seriously?  I am sick of republicans acting like there is nothing they can do.  They are getting bullied at every turn and just continually seem to roll over.  I elected my representatives for a reason and that was not to necessarily play nice when playing nice will not work.

Have to agree. They have the power at hand and doing nothing about it. A nice letter he sent. Like yourself." I don't want to hear the labor pains, I just want to see the baby".

Sad to say, but they are all in the same boat.  All are making millions from the current state of the union.  The reason things are like this is that's the way they want it.  The good ones that really want to do right are stepped on and kept down by the crooks that have been there forever.  It will never change without term limits to short circuit the mossy horns from being corrupted.   Once you are on that pedestal, its almost impossible to not take advantage of that position and  return to life as normal people.

It's a nice letter, and he may be a nice man, but I'm not a fan of Mr. Cochran.  If you want to see a glaring example of entrenched, establishment politics, look up his 2014 re-election.  He wanted to retire but the machine didn't want him to.  Why?  Because a true conservative, Chris McDaniel, was ascending to replace him.

So, what's an establishment party to do???  Enlist the help of the state's former gubner and his powerful lobbying firm and forge temporary alliances with black democrats (who most-likely would never vote for him in the general election) to cross party lines in the primary.  Sleaze at it's worst.

Will have to agree. I voted for Chis and really felt he got the short end of the stick. I was ready to see some fresh people in there. While I take the less of the 2 evils we need to change a bunch out of the white house. They no longer care or give a hoot about what we want. I don't care what party the represent as long as the do good in favor of the American people.

I couldn't vote for him, but I did contribute to him.

I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said, "If you vote the lesser of two evils, you are still voting for evil".

When I spoke the less of 2 evils I meant none up there is worth a flip. But I will have to go with the republicans.
