6'5", 270 here...Ride a standard with an Ultimate Big Boy seat. But honestly I think any Valk would be just fine. I've sat on the Interstates and like them as well. The Ultimate Seat gets you up a couple of inches higher.

And welcome to the forum.  cooldude

Yah, I'd get an ultimate big boy seat to raise you up some being taller as well.

I'm only 5'10" and pretty heavy for my height and the stock I/S seat fits me well for my shorter height.   If taller than 6', I'd feel cramped on my I/S I think needing more seat height to not feel cramped.

Hwy. pegs way upfront down low would help also to stretch out those longer legs.

You will probably love the Valk after only a few weeks of riding since not many cycles out there that cheap with that much performance and comfort.

I'm ONLY 6' 2" tall and around 235ish 32" inseam and I'm on an I/S with stock seat. When I get to I-15 it will be my 4th Inzane and I DO NOT trailer from S E Mo. I'm happy with her and she STILL gives stock V-twinkys fits!  Roll Eyes My brother(da prez) sposed to have one for sale here before ridin season.  coolsmiley IF you find one that's been sittin fer a couple years you WILL have work to do BEFORE you can ride. Peruse the tech section in yer spare time and the general board. I'm thinkin there are some Valkyries for sale in the classifieds now. Good luck on your search and WELCOME to the BEST board for Valkyries!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Truthfully, any of them.  They're all the same.  Standards, Tourers, Interstates....they're all the same bike with different accoutrements.

All are used at this point, so seats might and probably will be different.

And as for seats, what you'll want/need depends on you and your build.  Are you long wasted, short wasted with long legs?  It all factors into making any Valk your own.

6,5"  375, but trying to get back down to a svelte 350.

Loved my I/S with an Ultimate big boy, but went to a trike when my knees gave out.
Love it too.   Find a good basic ride, then you can have the fun of finishing it out the way you want.

Welcome,

I'm 6'3" 270 now, but was 320.  There are a few choices for seats that can get you comfortable.  The one that most of the big guys I've talked to is the Russell Custom "ride all Day seat".  I know one big guy that will not get on a Valkyrie or Goldwing without his Russell seat.  He rides Long rides on his bikes comfortably.  I've ridden an Ultimate King Big boy and like it.  Ultimate makes 3 different models depending on your size and inseam.  I have a Diamond Custom seat on my Goldwing GL1800 and really love it.  Similar to the Russell it is built to you and your co-rider size.  Russell comes in one piece for the Interstate and Diamond comes in 2 piece seat.  I'm going to get a Diamond Custom made for my 2 Valkyrie Interstates.  The owner swears he can get me as comfortable on it as my Goldwing seat.  I've found the Diamond Custom to be a few hundred cheaper than the Russell.  Another good brand of seats is Corbin.  They are a hard seat and you can get use to them.  I have 2 of them and use them currently on my Valkyries.  I have trouble riding more that 5-6 hours on them without a cushion.  I would not recommend them to  a bigger guy.  I have mine because they came with my bikes.  Good luck and hope you find the Valkyrie and seat you are looking for.

The correct answer is "the one you buy."

No, seriously, I'm 6'3" and 250+ and was riding a Shadow 750 for the past 3 seasons. I bought a '99 Valk last fall and was immediately blown away by how much more comfortable it is than my Shadow. IN FACT, my *ONLY* compliant is the Cobra floorboards are too small for my sz13 boots and I've melted the back corners on the 6-way pipes. However, the highway bars make cruising unbelievably good.

So, I'm partial to the '99 IS in Ozzy Black. You're open to choose your own color combination and trim level. Any way you cut it, you're on the right track.
