Been having a very good time working at bike week. I don't care for using a tablet so I haven't been on the board much. Saw 2 valks at the speedway today but didn't see the owners around. Tomorrow i'll be back working the hawg halters booth next to the motorman's spot behind the Daytona HD dealer's building. Really hoping the snow and ice are gone when I get home so I can leave the truck parked.

I'm in Boston. The piles of snow on the sides of the road are down to about 3 feet high
now. It has been over 50 degrees for a few days, stuff is melting like crazy. Water
is always running everywhere, down the drains, into the subways. The temp is
supposed to range between 35 and 17 today  Shocked there will be lots of ice patches
and people slipping and falling I guess. I leave in the morning, it will start
snowing again on Saturday.

The motel is about a  block away from Boston Common, a giant park downtown.
I've hiked out to the other side of the park and down some skyscraper canyons
to get to Union Oyster which has been an oyster house since around 1820,
and also to Falafel Shawarma for some good old Lebanese food.

Back home as of today. If someone would have told me last year that I'd be in Daytona for two weeks setting up and closing a booth selling custom V twin parts in a year I would have thought they were insane.  Grin

I have to say it was a very enlightening experience for me. I parked my valk in front of our booth against the fence that separated us from the Motorman's area every day. Lots of people came by and stopped to look at and talk about the valk. Not one person out of the thousands of HD, Victory and custom bike owners had anything negative to say to me about my bike. Not one. Every person who stopped at the booth to ask questions or just talk was respectful and polite.

I rode in and out everyday through venders and beer drinking bikers, many wearing their clubs colors, and, again, absolute politeness and respect was the norm. I also got to take our demo bike up the coast and back one night in the rain. It was a nice  bike, a 2014 HD, I liked it, but all in all, I still preferred my valk.
