Any day that you ride is a good day!

A computer science student at Michigan State University has used a computer algorithm to create what he calls the ultimate tour of the lower 48 states.

Looks, interesting I want to do this someday but I'm thinking more along the lines of throwing a dart at the map each day.

Every summer since I've had the Phatt Ghurl I'm adding to my Motorcycle have run in states. I EVER hit the lottery I'll be posting from the road-A LOT!  cooldude My big dream-unlimited funds and my Valkyrie!   coolsmiley RIDE SAFE.

Agreed Mike.  And that I-95 corridor from Boston to DC is probably the single worst ride a human can make on a motorcycle in the whole USofA.

And with Mark's dart throwing plan, we probably end up about 200 miles out in the Atlantic.   Grin  Wink

It's not actually much of a route good for anything. It doesn't hit all state capitols, it's not the shortest distance route thru all 48 states.

If you want a good shortest route for all 48 states just search google for 48 states route. There are several as this iron Butt ride has been going on for years.

The best of 48 state routes also include a jump to Hyder Alaska to make it a 48 plus ride.

I've been watching lots of 2nd, 3rd and 4th season Gunsmoke episodes on youtube.
It would be awesome to ride around Dodge City (400 goes through there) if it
was really like the California ranches they filmed those Gunsmokes on  cooldude ...

I recommend those Gunsmokes highly, BTW...

Never lived there but have ridden by and thru a few times.

The smell of feed yards is really pretty pervasive when the winds in the wrong direction.

If you haven't take a look on Google Earth to see how few trees there are.

There's not many trees on Gunsmoke either, but it is very hilly,
unlike real life...

Highest point in KS is Mount Sunflower. Just over 4,000 feet.

There are other bumpy bits. JUST NOT ON KS 400 Angry

Don't believe what you see in the movies. There is no Gunsmoke area in Dodge City ks. That's all in California or AZ or NV. The only hill around is the ancient river bluff of the now dry Arkansas river and that is about 40 feet.

However, if you like wheat fields and cattle grass land, knock yourself out.
