Got to be ready to take pictures on the DAM ride next weekend...

I stuck a sticky mount near the edge of the windshield and headed off to
work... I sure have a good ride to work...

Nobody's lived here in the 20 or so years I've been around, but the folks
whose homeplace it is are always around cutting the grass or otherwise
keeping it up. I've spoken to them a few times. There's a solid line of
Cedar trees across the road from the house now, but it used to be a
vast cotton field, they said it was an awesome sight when the cotton
was full...

Spring has sprung...

Look! A bird!

I really like this old farm house since they fixed it up and painted it blue...

The black bike is in pretty good shape now, but there's still a few things I need to
work on... for one thing, it's too darn fast...

Home again...

You probably already know, but you can download an app for your smartphone that will let you remotely control the GoPro

Yeah don't know about the Go Pro 2, I know the GoPro Hero 3 and 4 you can control with a smart phone app, but alas as Joe has indicated, that point may be moot. coolsmiley

I have wished I had a good camera with me many times. I always have my
(flip) phone with me, and it has a grainy wimpy camera in it...

One day I might finally submit to a smart phone, just for the camera...

Might be... smart phones are a little too smart without going through a
learning curve. Joe handed me a crashed rider's smart phone once,
"here, look up his wife's phone number". He might as well
have handed me a block of epoxy... I passed it on to a handy
young person and she looked it up with no trouble...

I'm glad I am not the only one who hasn't been smartyphoned yet.

Just don't have the REAL need I guess as some do for one?

Biggest issue I have is my old LG flip phone (great quality and nice features I use) is about 7 years old now and one of these days the battery is going out am sure and if cannot find battery for it on ebay/amazon,  the new basic phones are mostly junk nowadays and won't last since all the technology and reliability (quality) is going into smartphones nowadays.  Look around,  1-3 tops flip phones to pick from,  but dozens of smartphone choices.

I am not willing to double my monthly payment on a smartphone if not going to get the use out of it to justify the monthly cost.

I gotta have a cell phone though since I cut the cord on the home landline phone last month since wasn't using it much at all (just for incoming B.S. telemarketing calls mostly) costing me 30 bucks per month for nothing.

I've never had any phone handier than a cordless landline.

Just last week an older fellow who has acreage I might go shooting on handed me his Iphone (I guess that's what it was) and told me to put my name and number in it.

I looked at it, and said I've never once handled one of these things, I don't want to do anything bad to it or erase things.
He took it from me and punched a few buttons and handed it back and said OK, just type your name and number in.

The buttons are so tiny even with bare hands, my name came out at as j334s3 j9nmmmmsrpn (which is not my name).

I gave it back and said, you're going to have to do this.  He looked at me like I was from another planet.  I guess maybe I am.

No wonder so many people have accidents texting in their cars.

I still have patches of snow around the house.  The snow finally started melting last week and my sump in the basement has been running for 3 days straight now.  The ground is so saturated from all that snow melting.  I'm on a hill, but there's no runoff because it's melting too slow, so the ground is just holding it.  This happened a few years back.  We had too much rain and the ground got soaked and then some strong winds blew over big trees with shallow roots (pine trees).  No storms in our immediate future so hopefully crap will dry out.

I have a few gift cards sitting in a drawer that need to be spent.  Maybe one of these thingies will be along for the ride to Inzane.
