Been using that on the boat and bikes for years. Best stuff I have ever found for boat upholstery. Also use it on patio furniture cushions. Great stuff. 303 has a whole line of products and I have been happy with all of them.

Sounds great. I'm not familiar with it. What's the difference between the 30308 and the 30340 ?

I had to go look because I did not know of different numbers. Looks like a sku or product number. I only knew them as the 303 protectant or 303 fabric guard. I know that have other products also but those are the two I use. They also have different fabric guards. The high tech is has done well on the boat. The regular fabric guard is what we put on patio furniture. There are two different types of protectants also. I used the matte finish. I do not like the real shiny greasy look.

On another note, has anybody tried the 3M paint defender spray yet. I think I am going to try it out on the headlights of my car and truck. http://3mauto.com/products/paint-defenderAnd by the way meathead, your mention of going to the boat store reminds me, I saw you live in Havasau. Is the boat ramp there really as entertaining as the youtube videos make it out to be?

ALL big and well used public boat launches are better than cartoons. I chartered on Lake Michigan for years and the public launch was the best entertainment ever. It was across from our slips so we would grab a few beers and a lawn chair and set there and watch some of these goobs try and launch or load boats. Some couldn't back a trailer into a parking lot! Ever get a chance, go to a busy one and watch. It is well worth the time.

Where we fish at, the best ramp for convenience and condition is Radio Island which is a public wildlife ramps. We launch the Grady there probably 90%+ of the time. There is also a fishing pier next to it and the spectators love the view from the pier. The guy with the I/O ski boat or jet boat being pulled by a hyundai SUV, launching in the ICW in a primarily fishing area...... well everybody has expectations for a good show. I always thought it would be fun to just sit and watch, but if I am at the ramp, I want to be on the water!

It looks quite good even enhancing the appearance of the paint. It isn't real durable though. Just make sure it dries thoroughly IN THE SUN before wiping with a cloth. It is initially quite soft. Also make sure there in no wax particles on the surface or you will get fish eyes. If applied thick enough it peels off fairly well.

I was considering doing the fairing of the interstate and the bumper of the beemer. I have seen the plasti-dip videos but was not completely sure. Eastwood has some high gloss clear spray also that I was considering.

I live 30 miles from anywhere that carries it that I have found so I order online. I MAY have seen it at Home Depot before, but I am not certain.

I don't get to pumped up on 303, I have use it on my tonneau cover of my truck. It eventually turn it in to a stiff piece of cardboard. I never used anything but 303 on it. It seems to pull out the plasticizers(phthalats) out of the vinyl. I haven't anything that works long term. I don't think it is the 303 doing it, but the UV that pulls the plasticizers out.

Maybe a bit off topic, but close:
Has anyone successfully removed the discoloration from headlight lenses? I tried a Meguar's kit with not very good results. Their product is usually good. The discoloration seems to have accelarated sinc using it.
Now I notice 3M has introduced a kit. I purchased one but have not used it yet. I've never seen a 3M product that was inferior. Anyone tried it?
Anyone used a professional?
Replacement lenses for wife's BMW X5 are $742.00 / per side.

Try toothpaste!! Takes a little rubbing. Things that are matt looking (not shiny) is pours or defused, things that are shiny and smooth are not defused or pours. Toothpaste is a light abrasive, even works as a polish.

Product called nuvite works well. Did the 525 with it and then waxed it good afterwords. It lasts about 6 months. I think I may try the 3m stuff on it after my next polishing.
